Hi,
I have been on oral abx for nearly 4 years under dr j in D.C. I have used some cowden and Byron white in conjunction as well as LDN. Also have detoxed using chorella, burbur, skin brush, exercise, lemon water. I have taken buhner herbs consistently since January. I've been on klinghardt cocktail for a week now.
Initially I improved on the abx for about
2 years but have declined since last year. If anyone else has had failed treatment and reached remission I would love to hear your ideas.
Thank you.

Sorry that you have declined. Were you almost symptom free before the decline last year?
What is Dr. J. saying about
it?

Yes I thought I was in remission. Dr j believes sleep is the primary issue - which I don't necessarily disagree with but I've tried xyrem and after 1 month (a) could no longer afford it and (b) it had many undesirable side effects like racing heart, nausea and loss of appetite. I may try xyrem again if I can fight my insurance enough for them to cover. Regardless, my symptoms of being off balance, back pain and leg weakness are indicative of at least immune dysfunction. I'm nearly back to where I started before seeing dr j. Funny thing is I never herxed while on abx or herbs. Not sure what that means.

Is Xyrem used as a sleep aid?
Did you treat Babesia and Bartonella?
Just remember - you did get there once...and you will again.

Maybe it's something other than lyme. Does dr. J look into other things like heavy metals, mold, candida, etc?
How bad is the off balance? Does it come and go?

Yes xyrem is a sleep aid.
Could be other factors but I had a fry test show fl1953, positive for Bartonella and positive band 41 (which is lyme specific). Also I had such a good reaction at first to abx....

Off balance is pretty constant when it flares. Usually lasts 6 mos.

Lots of times with Lyme patients, we don't test positive for every infection we have. If you have any "possible" infections (going by symptoms only) I would encourage you to look into them as well. There are many different infections/conditions that can "hold back" healing from the infections we know we have, so it's time to play detective and find the "missing" infection (the one(s) not yet being treated).
Start by looking at your symptoms and seeing if they could be from a different infection - particularly any that have not been resolved the first time around. It's a long process, but it's what we do to reach healing.

What is bvt? Bee venom therapy? Where do you get it administered? Thanks blue and Trav.
