I want to get some blood test done at Armin Labs in Cambridge, UK, would it be best to get the following three or do I not need all three ?? I know I can ask them but my experience is that people on here are most well informed.

Borrelia Elispot £153.74 - Test no. 1
Borrelia Seraspot £116.57 - Test no. 4
CD3/CD57 £107.11 - Test no. 2

Any input great appreciated.

Hi Suzee --

Unless your insurance company or MD need the CD57 for diagnosis, I'd skip it. More and more, we're finding that it does not give much reliable info. Here is an article that discussed C3 and C4, CD57:

But I'm not sure about the Elispot or Seraspot UK tests... bumping for more views. You might also add "in UK" to your thread subject - to get more views.

Thanks Pirouette, the blood is taken in UK but is then sent by Fedex courier to Armin labs in Augsburg Germany. Will add UK to my post so our other UK members can see it in case they want to order some tests. The Elispot apparently is a new test and the most accurate if my tired lyme brain has understood correctly. May just have that and the bartonella test done. Am off work on Friday so will ring them and try and decide.

I have details here on the Elispot test and how it works.

Shall I copy and paste that?

I am still on the Buhner protocol for lyme and bart and working, had to cut back to 4 days but the fatigue is overwhelming and not sure can sustain that for much longer. Decided instead of keep self treating following a clinical diagnosis its time I got some 'real' blood work done.

The Elispot isn't really "new", it's been around since 2013.

And while it is different, it's not as accurate as they had hoped, as some with Lyme will still test negative from what I've seen - but it may still be better than many other tests.

Thanks for your replies, don't know how to change title of thread subject Pirouette, should I just start another including 'UK' ?

Think will get the Elispot test done, but then wondering if just using that money for the herbs I take is better spent ... I know I have lyme so wondering why I need to spend more money on clarifying that when I will still stick with herbal protocol. Think I am looking for a magic bullet which no blood test can provide.

The fatigue is so overwhelming at the moment and realised it has got much worse since I ran out of rhodiola and propolis. Going to order some and add back in daily again and see if that gives me a bit more energy to get through the day again.

Suzee - I changed the title of the thread to include the name of the lab.

There are several members that have used that lab - I know some of the LLND's here in my Province (Canada) use them - so hopefully someone here will have knowledge on the tests

Armin is becoming the igenex of Europe. Though apparently I hear Breakspear don't accept them (?)but interestingly a lot of American/Canadian doctors do.
Eli spot and cd57 only.
That sera spot is a waste of money. The Eli spot picked something up as did the nhs test. The sera spot didn't!
Those 2 together should be enough.

I know of course it's individual to each person but what did you / others decide to go for in the end? I think I'll test through Armin on Monday or Tuesday next week but am not quite sure which tests exactly are essential.

Borrelia LTT Elispot and cd 57 only. But they have chlamydia Elispot LTT, Ebv Elispot LTT and good quality antibody titers for Cmv, coxackie virus and some others. Are you treated by an LLMD or you just want a confirmation for yourself? (Because you Will be interested in coinfections, viruses, etc. ).FYI my LLMD treats 50 %based on those results, 50 %based on symptoms.
