Are there Lyme Literate doctors in London/UK (or Europe in general)?

Hello,

I was wondering if any of you know whether there are Lyme literate doctors in the London area? I am currently in the US, in the middle of my treatment, but may end up having to move to London soon for work. Not sure what the Lyme situation is like across the pond.

If you don't get any leads from others, I have a few names from an old list that I could share. Unfortunately I have no idea if they are still in practice or not, so you would have to find that out. If you wish to have these names, just send me an email and explain what you are looking for and where, please.

UK Practitioners:

Biolab Medical Unit (UK) are a medical referral laboratory specialising in nutritional and environmental medicine, in London. On their web site, they have a referral list of medical doctors specialising in nutritional and environmental medicine, and allergy.

Nutrition Associates is a nutritional health consultancy. Dr Damien Downing is the London-based contact, who operates at the New Medicine Group. My personal opinion is that he is methodical and fovours blood tests over urine tests. Recommends use of Phospholipid Therapy (his primary tool) and Synthetic Chelation Agents. Sometimes a terse character, less focussed on details, more interested in the bigger picture; sometimes reluctant to provide explanations; sharp in diagnosis; focussed on biochemical cellular function and cellular detoxification.

Jinna, we don't allow dr's names to be posted in public, as they are being persecuted for trying to use ILADS treatment guidelines instead of the IDSA treatment guidelines. It's never a good idea to post their names in public places as it's like sending up a red flag telling those that wish to put them out of business just where they are located and what they are doing.

That's why we have members email to get doctor recommendations.

The other thing I want to mention - is just because they have a website and they treat CFS - doesn't mean they are lyme Literate - or even lyme friendly.


I have several ND's in my area - none are worthy to treat lyme. They do treat CFS, fibromyalgia...etc.
