Buhner states (page 356 in Healing Lyme, 2nd edition) that "the primary actions of this species (cats claw) are an an anti-inflammatory in arthritic conditions, immune stimulation and as an antineoplastic in the treatment of cancer."
So, in theory it will help because of the anti-inflammatory actions, but this depends on your body's response to the herb. If it made you herx, upping the dose may make you herx before feeling any benefit.
