Should I try abx?

Hi all. I'm unsure if I need to switch from mostly herbal treatment to antibiotics and I could really use some advice. I've been on Abart for Bartonella since February, nystatin for candida since March, I took diflucan for 2 months, itraconozole for one month, I just started cortef, and I take about 15 other supplements multiple times per day. I feel a bit better than when I started tx, but it's been 6 months, and I still have days where I can barely get off the couch. I don't want to waste time if it's not going to kill the infections. But, I also know antibiotics can cause a slew of problems too. I'm confused, tired of being sick, and I'm not sure what's best for me.

I am thinking that you could first try adding some more herbals in to your protocol.

Have you treated Babesia yet? What about adding in the Byron White Babs treatment (is it A-Bab?)

I'm suggesting herbals - because that is what I'm thinking you'd rather treat with (since you did A-Bart instead of Pharma)

I have Abab, I just haven't started it yet. My Dr wants me to be on the full dose of Abart for 6 months first. I don't know which I'd rather do. I just want to kick this sickness's butt and be healthy again. The longer I take to find the right tx, the harder it will be to fight it. I'm a bit lost.

Unfortunately there isn't a "best" path to take - antibiotics or herbal - it can take many months to years before we are well.

There's no rush on making the decision on whether to switch - take your time and continue taking the ABart while you think about it.

Also, consider what your symptoms are - you may be feeling the symptoms from other infections that you have. We can often feel the symptoms from other infections increase as we lower the bacterial load of other infections.

What are you doing for detoxing also? That may help keep you steady in the treatments you are currently doing until you can get to where you can add in more for treatments.

Thank you Traveler. For detox, I take milk thistle, detox baths, dry brushing, caster oil packing, coffee enemas, glutathione spray and IV's weekly.
I don't want to take antibiotics, but more than that, I don't want to be sick for any longer than I have to.
