Is LabCorp Reliable for Some Tickborne Tests?

My LLMD believes that LabCorp is fine for testing Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Ehrlichia and Anaplasmosis. I am asking because I was positive for Anaplasmosis through Igenex several years ago.

I'm not so sure it is gone and my current doctor said LabCorp would be accurate and to not waste the money on another lab. Does anyone have an opinion?

Personally, I don't trust LabCorp for any of their tick-borne infection testing. That's who my LLMD used (before we knew about Igenex and other good labs), and I didn't have any tick-borne infection tests come back positive until I had 12 months of treatment - and then it didn't pick up but Lyme and RMSF - I had many infections at that point in time.

LabCorp and Quest do not give the bacteria the time they need to replicate - so it's rushed and there are a ton of false negatives out there due to this.

Again - my opinion only.

Traveler, I value everyone's personal experience. It gives me information that I can choose from. Thank you. Quest and LabCorp never picked up anything on me either and that's why I am hesitant now. Pay now or pay later.

That's pretty much how I see it too - although do understand that all lab have trouble with testing on those infections.

They do alot of mold testing

I tested negative through LabCorp for lyme twice (one ELISA, one WB), as well as Babesia and Bartonella, but tested positive through Igenex.

Purrrsiankitty, I didn't know they did mold. That is a positive!

Milocat, same here. Never any positive with LabCorp just through Igenex. I love that my insurance says they don't trust Igenex results. Makes me crazy.
