Looking for a doctor who follows the same treatment protocols as Dr. H.

I'm in search of a doctor who treats following the same treatment protocol as Dr. H. I'm currently reading his book and have watched all of his videos available.

The doctor I'm seeing is very kind and is the most knowledgeable doctor I've seen so far but I'm not confident he knows enough to help me get better. I'm trying my best to be my own health advocate and I've learned so much but I'm starting to get overwhelmed and need to find a doctor who knows more about the subject then I do. I don't want to be my own doctor but so far have found that because of the amount of time I've spent learning I have to feed my current doctor information instead of going to him for the answers I need. I realize at this point that lyme and co infections are most likely only a piece of the puzzle that's keeping me sick. There are so many other things that could be contributing yet my current doctor isn't even looking for them. The only way of looking at it that has given me hope so far is the standpoint that Dr. H takes because he does a differential diagnosis looking at each of your symptoms to see what could be the cause and checks them off leaving no stone unturned. The MSIDS model makes a lot of sense to me and I'm desperate to find a doctor who understands the ins and outs of each component on the MSIDS map.

Unfortunately Dr. H isn't seeing new patients. I thought I remembered it being said in one of his videos that he has trained other doctors within his clinic but I can't find any information online about it. I'm located in Virginia close to the TN border but am definitely willing to travel for the right doctor. If anyone knows of a doctor that can help me please send me an email.

Kaitlan - On his website - it says he has trained a Practitioner - are you able to see him? He follows Dr. H's protocols.

Or is he also not accepting new patients?

The voice recording when I call their office says neither of them are accepting new patients. I wish that weren't the case but I guess it's better than them being overcrowded and not spending enough with each patient.
But I haven't called in a few weeks so I'll call back tomorrow and see if it still says the same thing.

A lot of llmds are ok with guidance ...ifnyou want dapsone make sure you dont have a sulfa allergy and ask...my friends saw dr h and could only follow his med regimen for 4 months since moving to rife n herbs .her blood looked pretty clear .some here see him ...
any way it was roceph ,zith riffy then dap and a bajillion supp and pbx

Kaitlan try Dr. J in DC he's up there with Dr. H and has actually spearheaded some treatments Dr. H is using. You will see an NP/PA who isn't him but all protocols are reviewed/approved by him. If you've been chronic (18 months+) you're considered an 'Advanced Case' and you may get a visit by him during your consult.

Dr. H has always had a NP. As far as I know, they are still not seeing new patients. He did say in a recent podcast that he hired another one, and she has been training with them. He hopes to start seeing new patients again by the end of the year. But I think there is already a something like a 2 year waiting list.

I love, love, love Dr. H. But honestly if I did every test he recommended, just the tests alone would cost close to $12,000. At least that's the figure I came up with. As much as I would love to be able to do that, it's not realistic. I have been kind of going on instinct. I don't think I have issues with mold. I just don't. So I have paid to have myself or my house tested. I also don't think I have an issue with metals. I've never had a metal filling in my life, etc.

If I don't respond to treatment (I'm doing abx) after a certain amount of time, then I will look into other things. But honestly, even then I will probably just bite the bullet and go to Infusio or another clinic. In the meantime, I have eliminated new toxins coming in as much as possible. Switched to natural beauty and cleaning products, I detox, I completely changed my diet, just about everything is organic, etc. I think we are all exposed to metals, molds, etc. every day. But I have been exposed to these things for my entire 45 years. I believe that if I'm sensitive to any of them now, it's because of the bacteria in my body. So the way correct, at least partially, the sensitivities, is to lessen the bacterial load. The only other test I'm considering right now is the ALCAT food allergy test, because there I probably foods I have been sensitive to my whole life and never knew about (or nevere made the connection).

I'm sure my doc would love to test me for everything under the sun. But I really don't think all of them are necessary. I also like that he respects that and my wallet.

It's kind of like treatments. I'd love to buy a sauna, do Ozone, do UVL, get IVs every week, etc. I'm sure they all help. But just one Myers cocktail a week adds up to $1000 a month. I think Dr. H is amazing, but I think doing everything he suggests is a little unrealistic.

Apologies in advance, I'm going to rant a little. The thing is I just turned 24 years old, I've been sick since I was 17. I've been sick my entire adult life. I've managed to stay out of debt so far and that's always been important to me but I'm not sure if that's what's most important anymore. Yes, I'm not in debt, but I can't move forward in my life. I mean by my age a lot of people are in debt for other things college, mortgage, etc. and I'm just stuck, too sick to do much more than just survive. So it very well might be my best option to go into debt, if I can get better at least I can start to make progress in my life.
Do you know much about the Infusio clinic you mentioned? If I'm going to go into debt I at least want to choose the path that has the best chance of actually succeeding at getting me better.

The Stram Center for Integrative Medicine in Albany includes several doctors that have trained with Dr H. My mom is currently seeing one of them, and so far they seem like they really know what they're doing!

I completely understand. Infusio is in Los Angeles and is about $25,000. It's a 2 weeks program.

Kaitlan-Yes, I do believe they accept some insurance. The do not, however, accept Medicare or Medicaid which is what my mom has. But I do remember reading that they accept some insurance. I would say they are definitely worth checking out. They have a team of doctors there, almost all of which have trained with Dr H.
