Bleeding after doxy?

Started doxy and after 10th day started bleeding from my uterus not period blood and I just had my period in the 20th of June. It's bright red and im having shooting pain on and off. ER doctor said it's a extra period? Doesn't look or smell like period blood. Im not frealing out but Im getting sick of this, last time it was my heart. My heart pain eventually subsided but I still have heart jolts sporadically. This disease is a joke. I feel like I should just shoot myself in the head living like this is terrible for me and my kids it's so ****ing old.

I am so sorry this happened to you. How scary! Perhaps follow up with your obgyn just to get cleared of anything else. Its always an adventure with this stuff, never knowing what is what!

Right there with you as far as Lyme getting so ****ing old! Holiday weekend and I'm having a herxheimer reaction.

Feel better. I hope the bleeding stops quickly and its some inflammation that quickly resolves.

I'm assuming they checked you for a urinary tract infection. I have internal hemmorhoids and have some significent bleeding during a BM. Sometimes it happens without a BM. I agree, I am so over all these stressors. If it continues I would see a gynocologist to put your mind at ease.

I am so sorry to hear about what you are dealing with. Sometimes Lyme loves to mess with our hormones.

How many days have you been bleeding?

I have had a lot of issues with my period. When I was a teenager I had my period twice a month. Every other week, I would have my period. This lasted for several years.

Then in my early 30's, I had my period only 3 or 4 times a year. I would only spot very lightly for one day. Then I went over 1 full year without getting my period.

If your bleeding gets worse or doesn't stop, please don't hesitate to see your GYN.

I had Endometriosis for years. I think I started at age 16. I was in my 30's and had to have laproscopic surgery and they used a laser on the suckers along with chocolate cysts.

Horribly painful and not a fun thing to go through.

Dr. John R. Lee was so great. Here is a website that talks about him. He saved my life of pain!!!

I don't have a UTI . Ty hey said my urine looked good. I've never had issues with my cycle ever and the blood isn't period blood it's like blood blood.

Also I have sharp shooting pain like not normal period pain nothing period like at all.

Hi kw661!-

Sometimes antibiotics or other medication can mess with our regular cycle.

Just 2 months ago, my period blood fluctuated between pink and bright red blood.

But, you have mentioned that you have sharp and shooting pain that doesn't seem normal for you.

You might want to schedule an appointment with your GYN, just to rule out any other issues that might be going on.

I'm so sorry, Kw - I would also suggest that you schedule an appt with your OB/GYN doc to check things out - just to be sure nothing else is going on. Once you find out that there's nothing else going on, then you can likely attribute it to either these infections (I had significant menstrual issues as well when I had these infections and periods still), or if it's one of the meds you may be using.
