Dr.G in basking ridge NJ

Hey guys,
Their is a rheumatologist in basking ridge NJ who also specializes in Lyme disease. Her website seems pretty legit. Her name is Dr G. Has anyone seen her or know anything about her? I kinda wanna try seeing her since she's much closer and might take insurance.

I edited your post to change the Dr.'s name to initials.

Even though she has a website...we still try to keep them under cover...unless they are well known like Horowitz .

My husband works with someone who saw her and liked her. She was really sick and is fine now. I believe she was put on iv but she doesn't treat primarily with iv like Dr. F. Her reviews are mixed but you probably know that.

i don't believe Dr. G is practicing anymore she's doing research and stuff. i've heard mixed reviews about her some downright really negative but others who saw her a few years ago said good things. guess it doesn't matter since i don't think she's seeing patients.

That would be great if you could send me the info. I'll research the doctor. I m gonna call Dr g on Monday and see if she is seeing patients. Doesn't hurt to try right

I saw Dr G for my first two months of treatment. From being on here and talking to other lyme patients, it seems she gives a lot of outdated info and only treats with monotherapy (with no mention of detoxing or other supplements). It was also VERY difficult to get answers to any questions between visits. My gut feeling is that she was once very good but seems to be trying to stay under the radar or just really focus on research.

I see Dr W now and have had much better results! He does a much more thorough physical exam, answers a lot of questions, and his recommendations on supplements have helped me just as much as the abx he's chosen. (He's also less expensive and doesn't order unnecessary testing - which is key for me since I don't have insurance.)

I saw her in December of 2016. She is still taking new patients as far as I know. I wanted to see her because I saw a talk from her about Lyme Arthritis on the ILADS website, which is my largest symptom. She is a rheumatologist with probably 30 years of experience and she was the president of ILADS awhile ago. On paper she seems like she would be a top notch doctor, but that wasn't necessarily my experience.

She did a great physical exam and is really is knowledgeable, however I didn't get a great vibe from her. She ran a few blood tests on me, then said she would contact me after the results are in to see what treatment she would propose. All the results she received (Lyme, Co-infections, Rheumatoid factor, etc.) were negative, so she suggested I get off treatment all together. I was tested through Medical Diagnostics Lab, which isn't as accurate as Igenex. I decided to stay on treatment since I still didn't feel well and that was the last we spoke.

She is a very smart doctor and is even referenced in Dr. Horowitz's new book and in one of his speeches, but I wouldn't go to her unless you have a rheumatological condition. IE: Lyme with a positive Rheumatoid factor or autoimmune markers. And even then I would probably just consult with her rather than making her my treating physician.
