I second everything that was suggested above.
You can continue testing, but encephalitis could be lyme or TBE, or Powassan.
Get back to higher doses of astragalus, look for viral herbs too, just in case it's a viral encephalitis.
Viral encephalitis is much tougher than Borrelia encephalitis just for this one reason: its cycle is shorter and may be very violent, leaving permanent neuro damage.
Lyme bacteria reproduces very slow, and nerve damage takes MUUUUCH longer than viral damage (that damages in DAYS, not months, years like Bb).
If you are a herb person, it's even BETTER than if you are a drug-person, in my opinion, because there are more herbs treating viruses than drugs (drs. are totally at loss concerning viral treatment).
Don't wait for them. If you do tests, keep reading and treating, non-stop.
TBE infects first the spine, than goes up to the brain, with fever, headaches etc.
Google TBE, Powassan or Togothovirus, you'll understand that these are viral infections that follow a more or less FIXED development (in terms of TIME, development of the infection).
And that is FAST, in a matter of days their numbers rise fast, so you need intensive fast treatment.
Treat as fast as possible with all sorts of antivirals. I can pull up some pubmed articles, if you feel it could be viral.
I know how TBE goes because my daughter caught it: week 2 and 3 after symptoms appear are the worst, if you pass week 4 without neuro damage, you are usually safe.
Note that statistics say that for TBE the rate of post encephalitic syndrome, meaning, patients needing long term rehab and having permanent nerve damage go up to 46% in recent statistics in Europe and Russia! It's huge.
I'm reading about
that now, that's why all that info is fresh in my brain!
I hope what you got is lyme encephalitis, that is much less dangerous.
