I am currently on an array of supplements prescribed by my LLMD and also have found some on my own I feel to be effective. I am concerned I am taking too many though and they are all high dosages. I am also taking doxy, zithro, and flagy. Is this hard on my liver? I want to start Buhner protocol along with by abx but should I drop the supplements? I am currently taking vit b, d, multi vitamin, fish oil, probiotics (2 kinds), milk thistle, burbur, pinella, coq10, magnesium, nt factor, cordymax, alpha lipoic acid, l citrulline, and a few others. Is this too much??

I did a handful of supplements when I was doing Buhner. I did fine.
When doing antibiotics, supplements and Buhner, you really should have a blood test to check your liver regularly. Your regular doctor can do this. Many go to the reg doc for blood tests because that way it is covered by my insurance.

Just doing herbs for lyme, I think it is advisable to have your liver checked.

I too do Buhner, Rx ABX, anti virals, and the usual cast of supplements. I'm doing about
80% of that since I started to cut back. I never took burbur, pinella, coq10, or nt factor but have others not on your list like Colloidal Silver, monolaurin, candida support, L-Lysine, GSE, ASV and Serrapeptase.
I just added Minuka Honey +15 last week, and now got to see what I can take off my list.
Do what you think is working and cut back if return on investment is not there.

Hi Peteza,
Sorry to get off on a side trail, but you are doing herbs only?

Hoagie, I did herbs only for lyme and healed over a year ago.
My first visit with my regular doc, he thought I had a sinus infection so he gave me a Zpak for 5 days. Nothing happened.
Then I figured I had lyme and went to a LLMD and he gave me a dose of Bactrim and Ceftin. I think it was the minimal dose, I can't remember.... probably 21 days??? I got so sick to my stomach and could not keep the pills down no matter what I did.
My second LLMD I searched out because I wanted to do herbs. He gave me Beyond Balance MC-BB-1 and Tox Ease GL. They were wonderful and I felt a tad bit better. But, I was a very anxious person with little patience, so I bought bookS and added in the Buhner protocol.
After I healed, my husband got lyme. He did not go get a test (other than taking 2 online symptoms tests) and he did the same herbs I did. He has been off herbs now since June 4th and we both are watching each other for any sign of relapse. So far, so good, God willing.
