Hang in there. I've always believed Lyme makes us stronger!
My symptoms are all neurological as well (currently treating babesia and bartonella) - base of skull pain, head pressure at the temples, eyes, forehead, jaw stiffness. I've had these headaches on and off for five years and most recently they started again two months ago and are constant at varying intensities.
Visited my LLMD last Friday and she took me off of Zithromax, Malarone and Minocycline after using them for one month. I'm now on Cefdinir and Rifampin and also taking the following supps:
Supplements:
Vitamin C 500mg
Calcium 630mg
Artemisinin 2 weeks on/2 weeks off
LB Core Protocol (Japanese Knotweed, Cats Claw, Adrographis herb, Sarsaparilla root, Dandelion herb)
Magnesium
Multi vitamin
Probiotic
Cryptoplus 40 drops two times/day (two weeks on/off; swap with Sida Acuta)
Sarsaparilla 30 drops two times/day
Sida Acuta 30 drops three times/day (two weeks on/off; swap with Sida Crypto)
HPA Axis 2 pills/day (Siberian Rhodiola root, Holy basil leaf, Oats milky seed, Schisandra berry, Ashwagandha root)
Activated charcoal
Houttuynia 15 drops 2x/day
Teasel root 5 drops 2x/day
Milk Thistle 500 mg/day
ECGC one/day
Every time these headaches come back I think I have a brain tumor. Last major event was in March of 2016 in which I went to the ER for chest pain and headaches. MRI was negative. I have a request in my my PCP for a referral to a neurologist as I again, want to rule out tumors or other conditions as these headaches are unrelenting.
I wish all the best in the suffering that comes with Lyme. It sucks, and hopefully when things get better, we are all stronger having lived through the worst of times.
