Right now I am taking the following:
Minocycline 100mg 2x a day
Biaxin 500mg 2x a day
Nystatin
Gou-Teng 15 drops twice a day
Japanese Knotweed dropperful twice a day
Cryptolepis 3-4 drops twice a day
Eleuthero dropperful twice per day
Lauricidin 15 pellets at night
I added Gou-Teng and crypto about
a week ago and Japanese knotweed about
Minocycline I have just started my dosage at twice per day.. worked my way up SLOWLY to this.
Now I am feeling significantly worse again. I have tingling and numbness in my face, my hearing seems muffled at times (and this is something I have not really ever had) my lightheadedness seems worse, brain fog is worse, headaches, and extreme fatigue.
All these symptoms I just cannot shake and it is so frustrating. Every time I think I see progress these symptoms come back in full force.
I have been detoxing a lot and it doesnt seem to help me all that much.
Should I be concerned or is this all part of the healing process?

it's from the mino, it has side effects plus it will give u a brian herx. those two things together make it hard to take. it's a good sign in my opinion. go very slow with mino. you must see how the german treatment plans look like. they start mino from second week, with A QUARTER PILL daily, then they go to half pill, then half pill morning , quarter pill evening... you have to ramp up very slowly with this one.
i too had hearing issues, they are temporary most of the time ... i mean mine disappeared.

One of my first symptoms was hearing problems. It felt like I had gone up in elevation and my ears would not pop. I was miserable. Treatment solved mine and it was not permanent.
Hubby had horrible tinnitius with his lyme. Again treatment solved.
I know that detoxing doesn't seem like it is helping, but believe me when I say, don't stop it to find out how it really is helping.
Lyme does wax and wane. Or some call it flares. Then you add in herxing and you have a mess of symptoms that can make no sense.
It also gives you a feeling that nothing is being accomplished. It is - bad bugs are dying. Bad bugs are running to hide from the medicine. Bad bugs are changing form to avoid detection.
Lyme is like chasing a bug without a good net.
Just hang in there and do the work consistently and you will get there.

What I did, I lowered the amount of antimicrobials and lowered immune boosters, and increased still my binders and detox substances.
Only that could solve the problem of getting awful debilitating symptoms from too much die-off.
I back PeteZa up.
I fared well on 5% of killing to 95% of the rest (about
70% was detox, the rest some supportive things).
But for me, the only way out was to lower the amount of killers. The lowest the best. I could mix antimicrobials, but always in low amount. Only like that, I could improve.
Or I shifted to more energetic type of antimicrobials instead of chemical.
If I felt miserable, liver charged, loads of supplementary symptoms from die off, I went BACKWARDS not forwards.
We think that the main part is antimicrobial. I learned (in my case) that the main part is detoxing the mess before increasing antimicrobials. The moment I felt danger, toxic, I backed up. And I always improved this way, always in low amount of antimicrobials.

Be careful with biaxin. Side effect is hearing loss.
