Kat, I love kids. Most of my FB stuff is adorable children doing something funny. The sound of a child's laughter is so contagious to me. Glad you have a spunky one! They are survivors. I told my parents, they may be trying now, but when older and out on their own, those spunky strong willed ones, you worry a little less.

Grateful today for hubby still doing well. What a couple of years we have had back to back. Grateful for summer, even though it snowed 2 days ago. We are calling it Juneuary here. Now we are in for a heat wave.

As always grateful for the people on this forum. What a bunch we are. Glad we can all help each other.

And a note to the newbies.... Your questions are so very important. I either learn because it is a totally new question or it refreshes my memory of what I went through and I wonder how I could have gone through it better. So never quit asking questions.

I am so-o-o grateful for my adult children and their spouses. They do our yard work and clean the house. They are truly angels in our eyes.

I am grateful, that after 23 years of dedicated effort, I have recovered from PTSD and associated conditions from extreme abuse as a baby/child/teen/young adult, and that yesterday, for the first time in 10 years I met with my sister. I finally had the wherewithal and degree of wholeness where I felt able to cope re-entering her life. We haven't been connected for nearly 40 years. She looked me in the eyes, towards the end of her visit, and said, I want to heal, I want therapy. She is presently in a lock down mental health facility. I never thought I would hear those words. I am grateful that I have healed and I am grateful I can now be a resource to my sister. I sorted out medi-cal options and next week she begins her journey of recovery in a fuller way. YEAH!

I have not posted on this thread in ages, but I need it now due to bad herx. It really helps to hear other perspectives.

I'm so grateful for children's perspectives. A hug from those small arms when you're hurting means so much, even though I try to hard the worst of it, sometimes I can't. And then that hug warms my soul.

I am grateful for my ability to breathe. I am grateful for my two angels who still love me. I am grateful for the roof over my head, my cognizance, the air that is clean. I am grateful for all the remedies I've been privy to. I am grateful for being allowed to exist in this world, I am grateful for my body, mind, soul and spirit. I am grateful for being gifted with abilities that might create breakthroughs in psychology, I am grateful for being attuned to my Creator and Him (male) to me. I am grateful for this time in history to witness miracles. I am grateful to be alive.

What am I grateful for? Sometimes nothing but I try to push past the darkness and think about the little things like being able to take my 61 year old mom on walks while she babbles on dumb stuff and telling me the reason I'm not sleeping well is probably cuz I'm not exercising. I just pretend like I don't hear her. I've told her a million times i Have lyme but doesn't "get it"
I'm grateful to be moving in a few weeks to the west coast to start my life over post divorce.

(i'll miss my mom and my 3 dogs dearly).
already started mourning the loss of my dog(he's not dead just can't take him with me)

I'm thankful I'm still upright and mobile. I'm thankful for the better days I have. I'm thankful for my parents, who love me and care for me. I'm thankful for my pastor and church family who love and pray for me. I'm thankful to God, whose hands my life is in. I'm thankful I can trust Him when I'm walking in darkness and can't see where I'm going and don't know what's going to happen to me in a future that seems very bleak and scary.

Initially I grieved over wasted time for being sick for 7 years before knowing about Lyme, especially when I realized I've likely had these infections with milder symptoms most of my life. I felt cheated and grieved over the person I might have been had I been healthy and "normal."

Now, I'm thankful I didn't know about Lyme sooner . There's more awareness now. More awareness of coinfections, genetic and environmental factors. More options like herbs that, IMO, are better and make so much more sense to me. I'm thankful I found this forum and the other resources that have helped and encouraged me.

That reminded me of my son - when he was little...he'd make me laugh all the time.

When he was in Grade 4, his teacher called me in. She wanted to show me something he had written.
The assignment was on homonyms. The kids were supposed to write a sentence using one homonym. (like bear and bare...or by and buy, etc.)
She collected their work and was reading them all out to the class. But, she didn't read my son's - because it had the word 'butt' in it. She wanted me to see it though because it was very clever - he used two homonyms:

"Harry was nice but his butt was hairy."

We both laughed...

I'm grateful for the sensitive, fun-loving, smarty-pants boy that has turned into an incredible young man.

I miss him so much (he's not living in our city anymore)

I'm grateful I made it to work today. Mornings have been hard.

I'm grateful for the pretty blue sky and the cool morning that makes me feel more alive.

I am grateful for all the help ive gotten from you all. My symptoms have all but disappeared(joint pain, brain fog diminished, etc..) but digestive issues persist.

I am also extremely grateful that ive found a new love(known her for years) and she should be moving in within the next 4 weeks. Ill be honest, it really scares me because ive not been in a livin relationship in 11 yrs. Im hoping she can handle my illness. I really am looking forward to a lifelong future with her. Though I am scared, still sick, I feel very blessed about this new beginning!

I'm grateful that this morning was easier than yesterday's. I'm grateful for my early morning walk with the pup - the foggy morning over the pond was so pretty.
