I am from Scotland UK and now looking for Lyme clinics in USA. We dont have single Lyme clinic in UK!

Can you please recommend clinics in Lyme? I have family in NY, Florida and Cali so one of those places would be ideal. Few people on lyme uk facebook have been to Jemsek Washington and good results so thats an option.

Any advice is much appreciated as I am having use my pension for treatment which is alot since I am only 35 but will be enough to get some treatment.

Dr. J in Washington definitely seems promising - several members on here see him and are very happy with him.

Another possibility is THE Dr. H (author of "Why Can't I Get Better? Solving the Mystery of Lyme and Chronic Disease") He's in NY.

Thanks for the info. I did have a look at Dr horowitz website. He doesn't have an email so I will need to call during office hours.

So i cant get through to D Horowitz and i am assuming i will have to wait a very long time to see him also. Does the clinic have an email address I can try?

The only clinic in Europe I am aware of is BCA Germany but ive heard alot of bad reviews!

I remember there being one in Switzerland.
I can look through my files...if you're interested.

You know that Dr. H and Dr. J - aren't clinics where you see them on a daily basis...they do monthly appointments (and I think some of Dr. J's are spaced out even longer than that)

I actually called Dr. J 's clinic a few months ago...and was told that if you have the first initial consult - in person - then you can do Skype appointment (maybe phone, as well?) for several months after - can't remember if it was 6 or 9 months.
So, you could fly to D.C. - have the appt. and then have the next few appointments via Skype.

Just want to clarify - about the clinics. There are clinics in the U.S. that do see patients on a daily basis while you are being treated.

- Hansa Centre
- Sponaugle.

There may be more.

Yeah thats why I thought Jemsek was good idea as lyme patients from here go to DC for 5 days giving them enough time to get there see consultant and get prescriptions.

Id be happy to travek to USA once a month especially if the clinic was near my family in Floriday or NY. Plus I love going to USA...well the places I have been anyway.

I will check out the clinics. Let me know about one in switzerland but i imagine it will be mega expensive.

Lifeworks clinic looks as though they dont use antibiotics? COrrect me if I am wrong but people have said to give myself a good chance i need antibiotics?

I was wondering the same thing. I'm looking for a clinic that actually has a success rate in treating Lyme. I am thinking about setting up a "You Caring" online fundraising campaign to help pay for a visit to a legit clinic. I'll be interested in seeing what you find out.

I have had a friend who got well by visiting Sierra Integrative Medical Center in Reno, Nevada, but upon doing some research of my own, I'm not really sure how I feel about it.

I have to quote my doctor #2 on this one. "Who are people?" OK. Now that I got that out. As Girlie said, some use abx, some use herbs, some use both. It is a matter of what works for you.

No Lifeworks does not use abx. In fact, they get a significant number of patients who did go the abx route and they are still unwell. So it is a matter of what works for the individual person.

I went there and was feeling so much better in 5 weeks. I just did not stay long enough. Minimum time there is about 3 months. Some stay longer. It depends on your health coming in, ability to detox, co-infections, etc.

I know its what works for some and not for others but why do people follow Dr H, Buhner and similar therapists...as they have I am assuming I high success rate with good medical background, knowledge to support. So the same should apply with clinics. Go with a clinic that has good success rate, medical knowledge, statitics to support etc My opinion anyway :)

The only thing I can tell you is that some of the people I met at the clinic had been to Sponaugle and other clinics worldwide and these folks have been sick for many years. And most told me that this was the best they have felt in years. I know that even Sponaugle is minimially 3-4 months for best results. But yes, do your homework. I felt OK leaving Lifeworks because I could continue with some of the treatments nearer to home. But I will tell you that if my health were to go backwards, I would not hesitate going back.

I can speak to J Clinic mentioned here. We are having good results so far and it is recommended highly by patients in our area (close to clinic). There are many international patients as you've heard and people do come from all over the US as well.

I'm pretty sure you have to come in person to the first 2 appointments and then you can do it over Skype/phone. It can be several months to get in and then you come back about 6 weeks later for the 2nd appointment and then 3-4 months between visits/calls after that with periodic blood work drawn where ever you are living at certain intervals.

We see the pediatric person who consults with Dr. J. In fact there are several people who see patients and are trained by and consult with Dr. J on their cases so you may get in sooner if you are willing to meet with others. Best time to call for appointment info is between 9am-3pm. I don't know that you'd need 5 days to take care of it but if you're feeling ok there's plenty to see in this city smilewinkgrin

Great. Thanks for the info. J clinic is top of my list. There is BCA Germany but im hearing alot of bad reviewed combined with they are so expensive. Its actually cheaper to fly to DC and get treatment!

Something to remember, even though most clinics have approx 3 month long approaches, that's not all the treatment you will need, unless it's a very early infection - so you will need to be able to continue treatments once you leave the clinic.

Dont know how sick you are but dr h is 5 g a visit .i think he is not seeing new patiient ..my friend waited 3 yrs ....and some one at dr j has spent 120k in 2 yrs ..a queen size bed in abx ... (see" will there be cake )..there is a place here in desert that has abx ,iv curcumin ,oxidarive and other modalities ...pretty progressive but also pricey 3 sessions @nd some take homes ivs ran 2g s..dr mr will do skype but and dr j of lymeblog needs a first visit but maybe reasonable ..he just got a mhbot

Dr H is expensive yes, but it is 1k+ for the visit. Of course the supplements and meds cost extra, plus the follow up phone consults are in the range of $200.

Does anyone know of MAH Ozone treatment costs at Lifework Wellness Center in Clearwater, Florida? I'm in Delaware County, PA area and curious what this establishment charges being I could stay at my friends in Clearwater.
