Has anyone gotten this? I have avoided all drugs in the Quinole family. I've been on treatment for 18 months now. It's horrific pain. I went to a foot doctor and there is no tear but he sees fiber damage inside the tendons.

I have not had this. I believe bartonella can cause tendon problems.

Maybe if you list what medicines and herbs you have been on, others may get another clue as to the cause.

Yes Achilles pain,soles of the feet and shin pain can definetly be from bartonella.

I have had this but it was temporary and LLMD has diagnosed bart based on symptoms. Are you seeing an LLMD and what drugs/supps are you taking? From what I understand from the herxing thread, is that you don't want to cause damage, so you may need to ease off your protocol until symptoms subside and then slowly get back on. My LLMD is in favor of pulsing also. Are you doing that?

Yeah I see Dr J and have been on pulse treatment for 18 months. Not all at once, but I'm currently pulsing Dapsone, daraprim, rifabutin, minocin, Ceftin, malarone, artimisinin, Enula, flagyl, diflucan. Also take jap knotweed, magnesium, vitamins, other natural products. Detox with salt baths, pinella, burbur.

I'm not familiar with many of those, but it seems like a lot. I would try giving your body a break from antibiox for at least 2 weeks and see if the pain subsides, then gradually add them back in. But you can check with the dr and see how he thinks you should handle the pain.

I take a 2 week break every month. That's what pulsing includes. I'm not overdoing it. It's just a new symptom. Seeing if anyone had a remedy for it.

I see you're already taking magnesium. What about increasing the dosage?


I switched from bartonella to babesia treatment about 6 months ago and my foot pain which was much better has come back.
But, i see you are on Rifabutin..so that should be taking care of the bart.


Did the foot Doctor suggest some orthotics to help support the area?
