Buhner has a book on treatment for Lyme, mycoplasma and bartonella. The ones for mycoplasma are cordyceps mushroom power and Chinese skullcap. Also houttuynia and sida acuta are listed in the mycoplasma protocol, both of which are already in my basic Lyme protocol. Additionally Buhner recommends olive oil and diets rich in selenium, such as Brazil nuts, egg yolk, sesame seeds etc. And then there are additional herbs to add per symptoms. For arthritis-like symptoms he adds EGCG, celandine, any of the berberine plants, olive leaf, and glucosamine/chondroitin. He warns not to take the glucosamine and chondroitin with CNS involvement though. I wonder why that is.
Edited to add:I realized a had a more recent mycoplasma test taken a few months after I started the protocol and the level is 3.8! So maybe all these herbs are doing something! I had been so focused on the more recently discovered Lyme and bartonella that I wasn't paying much attention to the mycoplasma levels. In retrospect I do feel some joint improvement since earlier this year.
