Low T-cells, B-cells and CD-57 lets continue this conversation and not ignore it like LLMDs do

I'm on a mission here. This is worthy of more detective work, there are some really good googlers here. We had similar posts on this in the past, but no close answers.

Its been said here we that have AIDS at a lower level. I now agree (those of us who cant get those #'s up). If you are one, do not ignore this. This can and does persist after lyme is gone (or gone enough) with many people.

Possible proof of its importance: People fall in and out of lyme remission, why? Do these same people have some low or all of the cells in question? Why is this ignored by our Drs., looks to be the key to me. They dont even get it. Candida too, once you get it bad in your bood, your doomed for it to come back and you can never eat sugar again. Your immune system cant do its job anymore.

These are immune cells. Low immune= you will never be 100% healthy again, never! Only once in a while/partially.

This is might be new to the newbies and somewhat past their worries right now. For the 50 to 90 percent healed, this is a big issue.

We need answers . NOW. Life is short. Make it the best you can.

1)How do we fix this?

2)So who out there can contribute to this that has not so far in past posts of this topic?

3)Are the only Drs that know this stuff cancer Drs?

4)Who can we see for this condition? Lyme Drs do not know this. It seems to be well beyond their knowledge as they guess at it no better than I do.

As you can see, I've reached that point again looking for answer's.

I'm going to bump this up every now and then as people are not on this all the time. People come and go here. I'm kind of burnt out on goggling right now, and I get just more confusion without answers when I look into this on my own.

There are many articles mentioning this, but as a phenomena. I have not really come across anything with new substance on this.

I'm hoping to test mine again this week - I was 40 then bumped to 59 after some abx, ldi (3 months). I have always wondered why most LLMD's don't think natural killer cell #'s don't really mean anything. Both of my little girls have very low CD 57's. Both had positive ELISpot. My son however is close to 200 (negative ELISpot), as well as my husband (positive ELISpot).

Maybe our numbers are low because they are actively fighting infection? Or low because BB has suppressed?

Great post and I've always wondered this myself. For those that have been sick for years and their body is no longer producing antibodies to Lyme, CD57 combined with C4a seem to be the only biomarkers to gage progress.

A lot of mainstream doctors and LLMD's do not put much stock in these numbers because the function of CD57 is not well understood. There simply is not enough research out there. I had one Infectious Disease specialist look at my CD57 when it was only 7 and tell me I was fine and that number has no significance.

I always wondered why Dr. Stricker did not continue his work with these biomarkers. Most comprehensive study on CD57 that I've seen is this:

I've personally reached 70% of my pre Lyme health but my CD57 has not improved much. There is significance here but we need someone to support research....
Maybe Stanfords CFS clinic?

This is just a thought, but do you feel it would be useful if those that keep track of cd57 posted test dates/results, treatments they did in that span, how they feel? Hopefully the smarty pants on here can contribute more. All I know is my doctor (dr. h) doesn't track this. I'm seeing functional doc as well and I think he may look at it. I will pick his brain this week.

I think I made a nice gain of 40 to 59 in just 3 months using abx & LDI. It may have been the LDI since I only did abx for 6-8 wks.

No money in this unless a drug can fix it. Drug companies provide research money.

I did not get tested for anything that had no "fix." I hated the possibility that I would find something askew and nothing to fix it.

I'm not a fan of doctors and having had a doctor prescribed lyme test say negative and then another lyme test say positive... well testing put a bad taste in my mouth.

Testing, and their said results, also made me very anxious.
