Thanks for the replies. Don’t think I’m abnormal or cortisola, would that have shown up on a regular blood test? Lithium orotate, where does one get this and holy basil? Been to the ER a coupe of times and I believe they tested my thyroid and it seemed normal. Also what does face flushing niacin mean? I have the liquid form been swishing in my mouth and swallowing a little a 3 times a day.
Cortisol would not show up on a regular blood test...it would have to be ordered.
For total cortisol I did the 24 hour urine collection...and mine was high.
I repeated it a few months later and it was in range.
To know how your cortisol levels are throughout the day, you should do the 4 pt saliva test.
It will measure your cortisol levels at 4 different times of the day (via spit) and then you can see if you're in range.
ZRT Labs does it.
You can purchase Holy Basil online - some health food stores will have it, too. It's a supplement, not a pharmaceutical.
I think you should be able to purchase lithium orotate online as well.Frank ,
you asked about
where to get the cortisol test. Girlie described it. Goggle ZRT labs, its direct or though a LLMD. Its the best basic one for the money, $150, others cost even more. Direct - they send your the kit with four or more test tubes that you spit into every 6 hours or so, then you send it back following their shipping directions and packaging.
Note : Ashwagonda can sometimes agitate some people (rev up or insomnia). Holy basil never does, might even make you a little sleepy, not much though. You might need to try both. Both are less than $15 each. All good advice. I made a mistake this week I think. I popped a xanax once on Sunday night and once last night.. It calmed me down quite a bit and made me feel normal. Call it impulsivity or pressure from my pharamacist heavy family, but I tried lexapro last night. It was prescribed by a non LLMD a while back but I never started it, until last night. I woke up at 6 am for work and was completely jacked up and alert
. So much so that I had an abnormally fast heart beat episode for about
30 seconds while I was in the shower. This is the symptom that triggered the brain fog and my "not feeling normal" since September. I don't know what this means, but I don't plan on trying that again. I am sorry, I should have tried some of the holy basil or other things first. I will wait a few days for this to clear out of my system before trying something new. Any thoughts on what the anti depressants do to folks with these bugs that are battling depression? Is this heart thing an odd occurrence?
