Going to see ID Doctor - Anything I Should test For?

I'm going to see a well-known ID Doctor next week at the behest of my PCP. I expect they won't be Lyme-friendly but I figure there is no harm in going while I wait to find an LLMD. (And to please my PCP, who is otherwise a great, caring doctor).

If they decide to run tests, is there anything I should ask for, do you think? Anything similar to Lyme? (I already have an Igenex positive test).

I figure it's better to have them say "well, nothing to see here" and check that one off the list, than let anything go missed.

The ID duck will probably say the IGeneX test is a false positive. Hope you have a low co-pay for this referral and you don't get docked for missing work. Otherwise the money should be saved to spend on real treatment under a real LLMD.

Thanks for the replies! It won't cost me much besides a $30 copay, and I won't miss work. I didn't expect them to do much for me but figured it couldn't hurt.

Already tested negative for EBV, but not any Herpes viruses.

Just maybe your ID doc does have familiarity with lyme! I am hoping for that for you.

I would ask he/she questions. Have you ever treated lyme? How many cases? What type of protocol have you found beneficial? Is this protocol expensive?
