Trying ketamine with lyme DX

I have tried antiobitcs for lyme. Was Dx in 2004 and saw a well known LLD in the midwest and made some improvement. Then a sudden death of my brother set me back big time now have PTSD and suffered sevier grief for five years. I had a good MD in TN but not LLD now I live in NC and so far have not seen anyone that deserves the title Dr. would appreciate anyone that can send me one. Currently I am struggling with edema. anxiety, bad insomnia. I am trying ketamine for depression and anxiety/depression, had four treatments so far.

Anyone that is up all night please notify me if you want to discuss lyme I am feeling pretty hopeless.

How is that ketamine working for you? I've never taken it medicinally but have used it in the past. Never did much for my symptoms, but I understand the doses clinically are much larger? I don't know... that stuffs weird. I don't think I could be around a doctor on it :P

I have had four treatments and they have helped but short acting. I have a few more to do then it is suppose to be maintance infusions. I am not sure if I can afford them ongoing. I found a clinic that had a special and paid for eight treatments up front.

I do think they are doing some good and soon there is suppose to be a nasal spray out on the market.

Lotsofbites, I'm really interested to hear more about results of ketamine esp. for PTSD symptoms. Have you looked into stellate ganglion block for PTSD too? Seems like it acts in some similar ways on the brain. Also great to know about the nasal spray.

I have never heard of stellate ganglion but will look it up ASAP.

I can keep you updated on the ketamine. I have PTSD from a few different things in life but my brothers death was the worst. This happened in 2006 and so time has helped a lot. If there is anything I can tell you about the ketamine infusion treatments please just ask. I do think I had some relief with sleep and anxiety but it is short lived. I am only half way through the treatments but everything I have been told and read says it is short lived. I am hoping that my MD will get the compounding prescription ordered soon. Also I have hopes for the approval of the esketmine still being tested and soon to be on the market.

Girly I do not have a email account to send you a message for a LLD. I use to know some and went to a good on in MO back in 2004. I have been out of touch with what is going on in the Lyme community because I thought I had done all I could. I went to looking up treatments again and read Buhners book. This has helped more than antiobitcs but I do need help and I can't let this anxiety get any worse.

stellate ganglion looks very promising. I don't understand when I have needed treatment so badly for anxiety and no Dr has mentioned this or the ketamine.
Why do these things call thereselves Dr not try to help with so much torcher we go through?

Where do you find a Dr that does the stellate ganglion block? I don't want to be torchered any longer.

I don't know how to set up that type of account. I know of a couple of LLD in NC just not sure about anyone seeing them.

I have Buhner book and have been taking several of his recommended herbs.
I have been doing this since May. Just nothing helps insomnia and anxiety.

You can start a new thread - "Anyone seeing LLMD____ in NC? In the blank put his/her initials.
Then members can respond.

Heya Lotsa, for stellate ganglion block, I would just Google "stellate ganglion block north carolina" -- I'm not sure where you are in the state, but it seems like a number of people come up on Google who do this treatment. I hope you can get some relief somewhere.
