There are many kinds of peptides with different purposes and effects.
My LLD is having me do 3 months, each with a different peptide.
Would you mind sharing where you found the info on side effects?
I'm looking for as much info as possible and not finding a lot out there.

Thanks, aphysicalwreck - I had researched quite a bit before starting this and you are right there is plenty to read about peptides and sports/athletic enhancement but very little on using it for Lyme. With so many different peptides, doses and forms (powders, pills, injections) it's hard to know what is meaningful research for us.
This site was the most comprehensive that I could find on peptide therapy for illness vs performance (and it does reference Lyme).
It looks to be a compounding pharmacy that offers it.

Good evening all,

I thought I would report back on my experience with peptide therapy (thymosin alpha 1). I am 12 days in with injecting this particular peptide and the results (although early) so far are promising. Although I take LDN and love the energy it gives me, it feels that the addition of this peptide has actually given me even more energy...who knew?.

By the second day of treatment, I actually slept the entire night without waking up. I have not had a good nights sleep since becoming sick in 2013 so you can imagine how excited I was when I woke up the next day and realized I had slept soundly throughout the night. Unfortunately, my sleeping pattern (or lack thereof) is back to where it was pre peptide therapy. Not sure why this is but I am hopeful that I can experience more nights of sleeping soundly.

I will be starting beta 4 sometime next week and will let you all know how that goes. As of now, I have experienced zero side effects with the injections so I am really looking forward to starting the next round and seeing how my body responds.

for those interested thymosin alpha 1 can be purchased online for about $25. you must reconstitute with BS water and of course inject yourself, but its there if anyone wants to look into it.

Thank you! I’m looking to start this therapy myself. My biggest concern is experiencing herxing that’s unbearable. I suffer with air hunger when I herx so that’s why I ask if anyone here has experienced herxing from this particular peptide as it activates the immune system at a higher level.

I am working on finishing my last vile of bpc-157. As I mentioned, I do believe it has helped with my sleep as well as it helped with my energy levels but I feel like I have plateaued. Although I do feel that they were helpful, I do not believe that they reduced my neuropathy like I was hoping. Actually the jury is still out as I am still on the bpc 157 but I will know in a couple of weeks the degree to which they have helped. So in my experience not a panacea but I am glad that I gave them a chance.

Initially I think it did help but then I think I hit the wall. I did 2 rounds of the bpc 157, and the Thompson alpha and beta. My llmd has patients that seem to be responding well so maybe i am not the best example of it’s potential?

Thymosin alpha has really helped me, but the compounding pharmacy charges $300 for a months worth. Anyone know where I can get it cheaper? I've looked online and I don't really trust these sketchy websites, most of them have reviews with people saying they never got their order. Is that pharmacy that sells them for $50 up and running yet?

Hmm I see lol. So it seems like my first LLMD (who seems to be the guru for peptide therapy for Lyme disease treatment) will be giving a speech on it at the next ILADS conference along with stem cell therapy.

Again, when I asked them for publications on peptide therapy, all they gave me was a slide they pulled from their last presentation at a conference so it wasn't convincing enough for me to start particularly given that at the time I haven't tried any abx treatment at all.

Furthermore, they were selling their own products out of their own compounding pharmacy and that also was a bit fishy to me.

If my current treatment plan fails or plateaus and maybe there is some more evidence of published clinical trials with this kind of therapy, I am still hesitant to use it. But I would definitely love to here more updates from people who have tried it here.

I did four months or so of three different peptides. Although experimental I figured it was worth taking a shot to see if it would get me to that next level. Initially I felt like I had more energy but in the end I plateaued and decided to stop the protocol. I saw a PowerPoint given by your former llmd on the benefits of peptide therapy and was sold. As I mentioned above, perhaps I am just a difficult case and not a great example of how peptides can help us find wellness.
