Sounds a bit like rosacea? Google images. I was diagnosed with rosacea a few years before neuro symptoms started. I had red bumps on cheeks. I had been nervous that it was lupus but derm said rosacea. It did clear with mino. Recently I have been getting more red flushing but no bumps thank god.
Mine's not rosacea or lupus. No bumps. No butterfly rash. Affects the cheeks mainly in a vertical pattern concentrated in the jawls. All the autoimmune tests I had at Mayo in 2011 were negative. Used to start at work around noon and increasingly worsen throughout the day. Sometimes I felt like I had a low grade fever with it. It would start to dissipate in the evenings and calm down by 8-9 pm. When it was the worst, it was around the clock but would lessen in the evening through the morning. Also have stinging sensations and feeling of tightness in the skin and tissue below the surface.
