Thanks Traveler and PeteZa,
I think I have some Japanese Knotweed around and will try. Traveler may I ask what low does herbs you are taking? You can PM me if you want.
Yes stress could be playing a part. We almost lost hubby last month when bronchitis caused kidney failure and heart attack.
One other thing I've been eating anything I want for the last 2 years and felt good other than 10 pound weight gain. I started a diet the ER Dr told my husband to go on (Always Hungry by David LudwigMD). It seems similar to lyme diet no sugar, wheat but you can have dairy. I'm wondering if this could be playing a part. I've been doing dairy for 2 years though. Aww the mystery continues...
The low dose herbs I'm using are cistus incanus and a 4 thieves tincture I make (Lavender, Rosemary, Sage, Thyme, Peppermint, Garlic, Black Pepper).
I've managed to make it to two cups a day of cistus incanus, but ended up herxing too much after about
3 weeks on it, so I backed down to 1 cup and have worked my way back up to 1 & 1/2 cup so far, but taking it slow. My intestines really have a love/hate relationship with this herb! LOL!
On the 4 thieves tincture, I had such good results using a 4 thieves essential oil, that when I saw this recipe in one of my school lessons, I just had to make it and try it -BOY oh boy!! It works really well for me! LOL! I've only managed to get to a whopping 5 drops am and 5 drops pm - and it doesn't look like I'll be upping that dose for a while! The combination of those herbs are hitting things pretty good for me on higher doses, and herxing just isn't for me any more. LOL.
And, as I said, I do a ton of support herbs, detoxing and all of that as well. I do feel much more stable on this than I have in a couple of years, although I know my adrenals and thyroid healing more have helped that as well.
If I can be of any help, or just a sounding board, do be sure to let me know! I wish you the very best in finding your way through this.
