Hello friends.

Tomorrow is the last day I have intravenous ceftriaxone treatment available.

I will have to change to oral.

The combination of 600mg rifampicin and 200mg minocycline (until now I only put 100, because I had 2g of ceftriaxone), is effective for borrelia and bartonella, and, if I have neurological symptoms, will it be effective? vertigo, fasciculations, etc ...

Rifampin plus minocycline is a good combo for lyme/bart.

You might want to add in a cyst buster - even just a few days per month.

(Flagyl or Tinidazole)


...and something for biofilms (you don't need a prescription for these)

- I use Lactoferrin and Xylitol.

How did you fare on the IV treatment and how long were you on it? Did it eliminate any symptoms?

Septra can be used for bartonella. But, it's not as effective as Rifampin and the fluoroquinolones.

You could go on it for awhile...and see how you fare.

What happens when you take Rifampin?

I read somewhere that Omnicef is a good oral to take after coming off IV Rocephin. Not sure how it would work in your planned protocol.

A PA at Dr J's clinic in DC told me that Omnicef is the closest oral you can get to IV. Not sure what that actually means though.

that is a good combo.

But, just know that you may need something else for Bartonella.

Yes, you can take herbals with that combo.
