She is cancelling a lot of her shows due to intense physical pain. She has said before that she has fibromalgia.

Every time I hear of someone with fibro, I think, oh gosh, what if it is lyme too.

I know , it doesn't sound good for her. Its really amazing how many different conditions turn out to be Lyme and co.

I don't wish these infections on anyone, doesn't matter who you are,where you are and how rich or poor, Lyme and co can happen to anyone.

"Fibro" can be so many things.

To bad they invented this word, as it makes giving up on "medical detective work" acceptable. Here, take these man made drugs forever.

I share the same sentiment.

I hate how they give names to a symptom as if that is the root cause "disease" itself.

I was told I had Fibro until I tested positive for Lyme.

The doctor I was seeing at the time told me "I will always be this fatigued and there is no cure".

Glad I'm not seeing him anymore.

most doctors today are mindless lemmings relying upon whatever has been published before to provide the answers.

when i see a doctor for something i research before so the appointment is productive and most times they give me the same canned answer i find online.....except it cost me hundreds of dollars for a 'professional' to deliver the news. worthless many of them.

In the past I assumed all Drs had a passion for what they do, thus would naturally be experts and on top of things.

Now after years of dealing with a variety of "healthcare professionals", its clear conventional Drs are in it just for a job and have limited interest in figuring out whats wrong. Insurance pressures along with the huge conglomerate that took over their former clinic just burns them out too. Hospital buying local clinics wrecks it for all but the profit grabbers.

The good ones go on their own- and we pay cash for their services. Problem is, any patient religiously studying their "ills" on the internet commonly knows for than the "good" drs out there.

If you break a leg, have a heart attack, car crash ect- no replacing the ER for real ER issues. But ER is abused so much its sickening itself and we all pay for it.

A big problem I'm learning is that most of what we all discuss online is anecdotal, and DR's are taught to rely only on published, verified stuff.

But when, for example, 20 of us all say we had the same weird symptom after taking thyroid meds, for example, but that symptom isn't on the list of known side-effects, who are we to believe?

I will give them some slack- they have to know the whole body. And yes, it takes 20 years for medical school to keep up with normal stuff.

Conventional medicine used to say H.Pylory was BS, now they know its real. Systemic Candida is the same deal, its real and blood tests can prove it today. I actually called a Gastro Dr a complete idiot after he started arguing with me- in his office.

True about the 20 years - and yet Lyme has been known about for 40 years - so their excuses have run out.

I"m pretty much with 1000Daisies in that I've got a lot of negative feelings there. While there are always some that can be found that still have their heart in it, most aren't worth the cost of seeing them, quite honestly. There was good reason why I ended up treating myself this last time. The only doctor of any type that I trusted has retired. I don't have any desire to try to educate more doctors, and while I WILL use Emergency services whenever needed, I have no desire to see any practitioner for my health issues.

If I can ever afford health insurance again, I will have a doctor, but that will be basically only for tests to be run and we will have a good understanding of what's expected. I'm just done playing around with them.

I don't know if this rant will ever be over with for me, sorry!!!
