Szabo,
I'm not sure what an angiogram is. I had an EKG and echocardiogram when I was in the middle of my worst cardiac symptoms when I first got sick with chronic Lyme. Everything looked normal except I had mitral valve regurge, which they were not concerned about
. I later learned from Buhner's book on bartonella that bartonella can cause mitral valve regurge and a lot of other cardiac issues.
At that time, I had heart racing, palpitations, feeling like my heart was skipping beats, heart rate speeding up if I moved at all in bed at night, feeling like I had two hearts beating out of sync with each other. I'll finish this later. My mother is calling me.

Okay, I'm back. Thanks, Girlie, for providing the excellent explanations of the different tests below.
Szabo,
I continued to have those same cardiac symptoms come and go over the years. I never really worried about
them much after that initial onset, as I had told the doctors everything I was experiencing and they checked me out thoroughly and even did blood work to check for bacterial infections that could affect the heart. There was nothing. Over the years, the symptoms were annoying more than anything else. When my heart would "act up," as I used to call it, and would skip beats, it would make me feel tired like I needed to sit down or lay down. The episodes would come and go randomly. Sometimes it would last a few days to a few weeks and not appear again for months. Other times it would last for months on end. The cardiologist told me that happens sometimes (feeling skipped beats) with mitral valve regurge/prolapse. He told me there was a drug they can give that will help it but the side effect is that it can make you tired. I declined since that was the main problem I was already having.
After I had a second wave of Lyme worsening in 2015, I had some pain in the center of my chest and wondered if I was having a heart attack. I didn't really think I was, so I did not go to the ER. Instead, I called the cardiologist and scheduled an appointment. That time, he did a stress test (not nuclear). It didn't take much time at all for me to get up to the target heart rate. I was also have a lot of shortness of breath and exercise intolerance at that time and wondered if I would even be able to run on the treadmill. Ironically, I did fine on the stress test.
Hawthorne is the herb for the heart. I am taking it now with Buhner's bartonella protocol, which I started 8 months ago. Strangely, I haven't had any noticeable cardiac symptoms in over a year, so I don't know if hawthorne would stop symptoms if they started up again or not. It was over a year ago that I moved out of my moldy house and workplace and got to a cleaner environment. That may be why the cardiac symptoms haven't come back, but I can't say for sure.
