Blood test ESR and CPR

Hi again, does any body know anything about these tests with Lyme disease? Mine have always been super low, which I guess is a goood thing. My llmd has never said anything about them except that if I had an auto immune disease like lupus or RA that they'd be elevated,so that is reassuring. It seems strange to be that Lyme and Co didn't cause any elevation and never has on my tests going back to the beginning in 2015. I do believe my main problem is more neurological but still puzzled! Anybody have any knowledge on these tests? My cd 57 is low too but obviously that one should be much higher. Thanks!

Mine weren’t elevated either

I had nothing indicating autoimmune

Thanks Girlie! If you haven't noticed already I tend to question everything! I wish there wasn't so much controversy about Lyme, because it gets in my head and I start to question if it's really what I have or if there is something else that nobody can figure out!! I'm going to try to be more positive and really trust my llmd. I'm starting rifampin today (it is 300mg not 100) trying not to be nervous about it but it's hard! Couldn't sleep last night which always makes things worse!

When I first got sick, I had an elevated ESR & CRP. They both settled down after a couple of months. I also had a positive ANA (from your other post), but it was all Lyme related.

I don't really have any "knowledge" of these tests, per se, but they indicate inflammation (the ESR and CRP at least), which Lyme causes.

I think the CRP test is some kind of cardiac inflammatory marker. Mine was also high, and now it has come down.

CRP measures inflammation and can be elevated with RA, Lupus etc

hs-CRP is for cardiovascular disease risk (hs = highly sensitive )

I question everything too. I always wonder is it lyme related, is it because I am getting older, do I have something else plus Lyme, etc. Being I tested positive for Lyme years ago and about every symptom in the book can relate to Lyme I don't know how to really know and just assume Lyme is the cause as it messes with your brain, tissues, nervous system, thyroid, adrenals...basically everything.

My ESR and CRP were always elevated for over 10 years. Not one doctor was concerned they were 2x higher what the max range should be. I tried every diet, exercise, nothing worked. I found my LLND and she tested my ANA, which came out negative and my CD57 and that one was in the dumps. She feels it is all related to Lyme and co's. I'm on LDN now and will probably give it a few more months before I test my esr and crp again. Crossing fingers it goes down
