Girlie - I was on the phone with appointments on Wednesday booking appointments -- and I'll be competing with you for a Dr. J appointment when his August calendar opens up.
I will note that, surprisingly, the appointment desk had called back same day and after hours on a message I left.
You should persist with arranging the appointment. While I have found that the PAs I've had there are exceedingly knowledgeable, Dr. J. brings a whole other level of knowledge and insight.
A case in point, for 12 years as we tried to get a diagnosis, doctors had been using a certain term to describe a major symptom of my son - and upon my use of the term with him, Dr. J. stopped the discussion, asked a few questions, and utterly nailed a much more appropriate explanation of and terminology for what was going on.
BTW, my MRI pre-treatment showed inflammation at the base of my brain. Did you have something similar?
My brain mri didn't show inflammation but it showed "pituitary stalk slightly deviated to the left of unknown significance" It was a dye-enhanced one.
I had a second one as well - non enhanced...and it didn't show anything abnormal.
