Has anyone had any success (private) testing for parasites?

One poster - on a Lyme UK Facebook group - has recommended this place (PCI Europe):

Just wondering if anyone else has tried it or knows of anywhere similar (and/or hopefully cheaper)?

Hi TokyoPVCs!-

I have personally never been tested for parasites. I have heard that testing can be difficult for a "positive " result.

Since I was struggling so much with my Lyme and co infection treatment, my LLMD and I decided to try treating me for parasites.

July 2016, I started Byron White AP. This is an herbal supplement for parasites, mold, and Candida. I started to smell horrible after my daily sauna. I had a couple of times when I smelled like ammonia. And other times, my husband said that I smelled like a moldy old gym shoe. I even smelled bad after I would shower.

My back, chest, arms, legs, and abdomen broke out with a lot of acne. I started to cough up oblong jelly like things. And I had bumps that formed on my left eyeball.

Since I had these symptoms and others from taking Byron White AP, my LLMD and I decided to try Dr Klinghardt parasite protocol.

I finished one full round of the protocol. I am currently on my second round.

I have read some people here that have tried Dr. Hulda Clark's parasite cleanse. It contains black walnut hull, cloves, and wormwood. This parasite supplement you can find online.

sans testing how does one know if they have parasites that are causing symptoms?

I have a guy here in the states that sends to university in s.africa ...good stuff .most comprehensive list i have ever seen .

to figure out my dads anemia and diverticulitis we did it and lo and behold round ,hook and a tapeworm ....if you ever had sushi ,iceberg lettuce or pork you should test and treat accordingly imo

Sushi, iceberg lettuce and pork were basically my diet in Japan. I'm going to order one of the kits from PCI today but I'm curious about this place in South Africa, too. Do you know if it's open to the public?

It's so, so, so ******* disappointing that even the HOSPITAL FOR TROPICAL DISEASES can't find anything that I KNOW is inside my body. It's definitely not the first time either, I could have written this guy's story myself:

Little Bear: could you write more about meds and doses Dr klinghardt use for parasites? Does he make any kind of testing first or just use meds blindly? I consider buying such meds online and try it for myself as there are no doctors in my country who do such things

Hi Yellow Cat!-

I personally never had any parasite testing done. It was just something that my LLMD and I thought that we should try.

Here is the website that my LLMD gave me to look at: /g2cforum.org/index.php/list/technical-talk-mms-mms1/25297-parasite-protocol-dr-d-klinghardt-systemic-medications

My LLMD changed my protocol a little bit. Here is my protocol:

1. Biltricide 600 mg 2 tablets 3 times daily for 2 days. Take med with food. After the 2 days of Biltricide take Ivermectin and Pyrantel Pamoate (Pin X).

2. Ivermectin 12mg 1 tablet 4 times daily for 14 days. *NOTE*- I only took 3 times daily for 14 days because I'm 5' 3" and weigh 120 lbs.*
Take the Ivermectin 1 hour before meal OR 2 hours after meal.
Pyrantel Pamoate 1000 mg at bedtime for 14 days (comes in 250 mg tablets so take 4 at bedtime). After 14 days of Ivermectin and Pyrantel Pamoate take Albendazole.

3. Albendazole 200mg 2 tablets 2 times daily for 14 days. Take with food. After 14 days of Albendazole take Alinia.

4. Alinia 500 mg 2 tablets 2 times daily for 14 days. Take with food. After Alinia take Mimosa.

THEN 2 HERBS:

5. Mimosa Pudica (Biopure) - * The website I gave above says to take 1/2 teaspoon* I took 1/4 teaspoon 2 times daily. I mixed the powder herbs in 4 ounces of water. After drinking this, I drank 8 ounces of just water. Take Mimosa for 14 days. After taking Mimosa, take Artemisinin.

6. Artemisinin (Biopure)- * The website I gave above says 200mgs 2 times daily for 14 days * I took a dropper full for 3 times daily for 14 days. I took the liquid Artemisinin and mixed it with 4 ounces of water.

****Please keep in mind that if you kill off too many parasites too fast it can lead to a lot of inflammation ***** My LLMD gave me a prescription for a steroid. She said only to take the steroid if I got the worst headache of my life. So far, I haven't needed to take any. Personally, I think that I lowered the level of parasites in my body by taking Byron White AP for several months prior to the Dr. Klinghardt Parasite Protocol.

Please also note that taking a steroid is not recommended if you have Lyme Disease unless it is a life threatening emergency.

I haven't received the test kit yet - hopefully it'll come on Monday - and I'll have some results to post up before the end of the month.

I actually had a mercury filling (very quickly and perhaps carelessly) removed right before most of my symptoms appeared.

(I'm still absolutely *certain* that my problems are bacterial/viral but I doubt the increased mercury exposure helped anything.)

I know a DVM who tests. He only charges about $36-40 and will check for tapeworms, giardia, etc. He is doing God's work, IMHO, b/c regular "labs" aren't doing well checking for parasites (intentionally??). Most DVMs send out all pets' stool samples to other labs which I believe are missing a lot of parasites in pets as well. Pretty sad state of affairs.

Hi, You can mail in samples to his office. I am hesitant to post where he's located bc I saw an ID doc at a univ. who laughed about the vet and said "I'm sure he has no bad intentions, but he doesn't know what he's doing. You don't have parasites, giardia or anything else. How old are your kids?" (I told him the ages) "Oh, it will get better as they get older!" He also said the vet could be shut down in a heartbeat if someone wanted to... so I didn't say anything more. I believed the ID doc and didn't take the meds for giardia & tapeworm (mistake!).

What a jerk missing major signs. That university's own lab staff told me that vets are pretty good at testing and the method I explained he'd used they said was better than the one where they mix it in a solution b/c the eggs can burst.
...The next month I begged my neuro to test me for tick borne diseases... positive IgM very high for rickettsia & then pos. WB Lyme. Guess what? As soon as I took doxy, all my giardia symptoms the ID doc said I didn't have cleared up (exact opposite effect one expects on an abx). They came back though a few months later. Just finished berberine for 10 days and notice significant improvement. I'm on parasite protocol and will take anti-parasitic soon (once I'm over lingering flu symptoms from a few weeks ago).

If you email me, I can pass on his info. He is near retirement & knows he may get in trouble, but he's tired of seeing parasites ignored as possible factors in human diseases. "I'm able to sleep at night," is how he summed it up.
