Dacarte3 - when you say you’re rotating 5 herbs at a time can you describe in more detail which herbs you take and how many sets you’ve decided on to rotate?
Thanks.
So I have about
3 major protocols that I rotate (I just can't take 10-15 herbs at one time).
In each protocol the potent anti-inflammatory herbs of Cordyceps and Chinese Skullcap are in all 3 protocols. These are too important of herbs to not take at all times because feeling bad and off (inflammation) needs to be reduce (or even eliminated) so one can have an acceptable quality of life while treating (and most lyme treatment is long, maybe even life long when it comes to keeping lyme at bay).
I then I take Cordyceps and Chinese Skullcap and pair with an immune boosting protocol. The additional herbs are Eleuthro, Schisandra, and Rhodiola.
This protocol is also basically the mycoplasma protocol, which shows you Buhner believes the immune system it's self is more effective at dealing with myco then taking any potent anti-bacterial. Which in a lot of ways makes sense. Most humans have the Mycoplasma bacterium in them. If one ever had a respiratory infection or walking pneumonia it's most likely Myco (the latter definitely being myco). However, we lymies have either a weakened immune system or an over worked one and myco then goes from a common and somewhat innocuous organism to a harmful one.
I then pair Cordyceps and Chinese Skullcap with Japanese Knotweed, Andriographis, and Cats Claw (targeting Borrelia).
Lastly I then pair Cordyceps and Chinese Skullcap with Crypto, Isatis, and Houttynia. This is the "kill kill kill" protocol. It targets Babesia and Bart but also borrelia and myco (or any pathogenic bacteria).
But I believe it's vital to have Cordyceps and Chinese Skull cap at all times to reduce inflammation and inhibit negative cytokine cascades while up-regulating the positive cascades.
I give this approach most of the credit of feeling well enough to really go about
my life and not struggle too bad. To have gone through long stretches of several months at a time symptom free, with flares in between. I can only imagine how it would be like if I didn't constantly inhibit cytokine cascades.
These protocols are rotated every 10-14 days.
