Are you or have you taken fluoroquinolone drugs? They can cause tendon injuries and can result in what is termed "floxing."
Anti-inflammatories theoretically should ease joint pain/stiffness. Curcumin, fish oil, Japanese knotweed (causes herxing for some), etc.
I have joint stiffness and pain most all the time. I blame it all on bart, although there are other things that can cause it, including Candida, the pneumonias, of course Lyme, and possibly nutrient and mineral deficiences.
Bart does a lot to the feet, though, and ankle stiffness is a part of that. That would be Suspect #1 IMO. I would definitely mention it to the LLMD. May be an indication it's time to make changes in the treatment plan, especially if this is a new symptom. If your next appointment is more than a few weeks away or if it gets worse or more stuff happens, then I would go ahead and call and not wait.
I don't think I've ever taken drugs that 'flox' but then again its been many years since I've taken any. I certainly could have in the past...my memory is just not that great
I've read about
'floxing' certainly scary stuff! My ankle when I woke up this morning was 100% back to normal which is odd but good. I will see if we can potentially test or treat for Bart as well if my Dr thinks appropriate. Thanks!
