Well, I'm been 100% for many years and I attribute that to many different factors. Of course the remedies I took helped me (invented and tested by Dr. Jernigan), detoxing (I still continue to take detox baths, dry skin brush, do cleanses), eating as healthy as I can afford to, and most importantly addressing the stressors in my life.
I agree with astroman that trying to be calm is very important. I am one of the weird ones who was actually "happy" to find out I had lyme after searching for answers to all my symptoms for 5 years which seemed forever. I felt such a relief knowing what I was dealing with so I could find the "right" protocol to heal which I did (yes I was a human experiment as I tried so many different remedies, drugs, etc. until I found the one that worked for me)...
That said I always enjoyed the poem below by Charles Swindoll (though I am not religious):
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more important than facts.
It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes,
than what others think or say or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.
It will make or break a company... a church... a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding
the attitude we will embrace for that day.
We cannot change our past... we cannot change the
fact that people will act in a certain way.
We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...
I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.
And so it is with you...
we are in charge of our attitudes.Denise
