MS actually Lyme

MS is a real disease, and while there are probably many people who were diagnosed with MS incorrectly who actually have Lyme, there are a lot more people who really do have MS. It doesn't help that symptoms and even the brain MRIs can look similar for both conditions. Whether a bacterial infection like Lyme may somehow cause an autoimmune condition such as MS to develop, nobody knows. The mechanisms behind MS are poorly understood and the subject of much research, my aunt has had it for a decade or two.

My aunt does not have Lyme disease. She's been treating MS with the appropriate immune regulating medication for decades and it's been keeping her going. I don't know all the details of her treatment or condition because it's a bit of a sensitive subject, but that side of my family is quite familiar with what Lyme can do, my cousin had it for years before making a full recovery when she was a kid.

I do not believe that the body just attacks itself for no reason at all which is what we are told happens in autoimmune diseases. There is a cause for everything and I personally think that in my situation it is an infection of some sort causing the issue. The body is attacking the infection and creating the autoimmune process.

Medical scientists are now finding out that many people diagnosed with MS have underlying chronic EBV infection or CPN (Chlamydia Pneumonia) infection.

I was diagnosed with MS and later found out that I had/have CPN, neuro-lyme, bartonella and babesia. I will never believe that MS is a "real" disease for me but a combination of symptoms which are REAL and must have a cause.

I made the choice to refuse the immune modulating drugs which would relieve my symptoms by blocking my overactive immune system from attacking whatever the cause is. I pray I made the right decision as I continue to treat my infections.
