Anyone tried high dose oregano oil?

I'm only asking because a friend (a chiropractor) said someone (another doctor friend of his) told him he recommends 40 drops of oregano oil per day for lyme patients.

I'm like: I dunno.

Seems like it would be terribly hard on the stomach. Just wondering if anyone has tried this and what their results were.

i took an entire bottle of 90 pills of this

2 gel caps a day in the morning on empty stomach. yeah i felt something burning but very mild in the first week, then it was gone. so after 2months of this i decided to stop for a while. oh and while taking it, i took break in the weekends, 2 days off 5 days on...

my stomach is fine and no problems. i took hi dose probiotics combo 3-4h after the oil ... plus many other herbs...

im not sure with 2 gel caps files as hi dose, it's not low though, recommended dose on bottle is 1 cap per day. it has 55% carvacrol...

I took some enteric tablets that were 70% carvarol for several months. I can't find the same brand on the internet any more. I did herx on it but everything levelled off after 4 months.
It does hit the bugs. I started on something else after that and when I went back I couldn
t find anything that worked as well. The others hurt my stomach - it is a mucous membrane irritant.
I was only taking one capsule in the morning and one at night on an empty stomach. I think you have a right to be cautious taking too much too soon.

Never quite that high but I think i took 15-20 drops of p73. Didn't seem to do anything good or bad for me

Oil of oregano is very strong. It has natural antibiotic and antiviral properties and have taken it for many years.

I would highly recommend taking it in capsule form, as it is very spicy and strong tasting. I have taken 2-5 caps 3xper day with no issues.
