It feels like an infection. When I was younger and had an ear infection, I wouldn't ever take abx. Could it be that it never healed and now herbs are treating it?

It's possible. You don't say which herbs do this to you but because many of them are antiviral, anti-microbial and anti-fungal you might be hitting something that was dormant or a recent infection.

Could be that the ear infection as a child caused some damage that was never fully healed and lyme is attacking it and causing inflammation. We were talking on another thread about
how lyme loves to take advantage of old injuries.

My first sign of herxing is jaw pain. So I would lean more toward it being a herx reaction in an old wound. I broke my jaw at 17. My first herx felt like it had been broke all over again.

I had lots of ear problems from 6 mths to 8 years of age. I believe I was born with bartonella. Herbs could be causing a bartonella herx or flare.
