My GP is aware of Lyme but I can't speak with him for another week because he's too busy. It was the nurse that told me if melatonin didn't work for me, go to emergency.
Maybe he'll prescribe Gabapentin when I see him next, I'll mention it. Guess I just have to go through another week of hell. Told the nurse I was losing vision on the side of my face that's gone numb. She didn't seem too concerned with that either.
It's hard not to feel angry.
Naproxen didn't touch my pain either.
Okay - it's a GP treating you.
I think you should look for a LLMD (Lyme Literate Dr) as most GP's aren't knowledgeable when it comes to treating lyme and coinfections.
I'm sorry you're not being heard...
In the meantime - I suggest you get a good detoxing routine going. The die-off of the bacteria create inflammation in your body/brain...this results in symptoms.
You should do several detoxing methods daily - some examples:
- Drink plenty of water daily
- Add some fresh lemon juice into some glasses. Drink with a straw to help bypass the teeth - as it can damage the tooth enamel. And rinse your mouth with clear water after.
- Take liver support daily - ie Milk Thistle seed extract.
- Take probiotics daily (not at the same time as the antibiotics - a couple hours away)
- Take warm epsom salt baths.
- Dry brush your skin prior to bathing/showering
- Take Nutramedix Pinella and Burbur
- Do light exercise - stretching/yoga/ a short walk
Here's a website with more ideas:
