Lyme from eating undercooked venison?

I was wondering if any of you believe you can get Lyme from eating undercooked venison? My symptoms seem to have started a couple weeks after trying elk sticks from a coworker....is there a possibe connection there or am I reaching? Sorry if this is a silly question. Also, is Lyme contagious at all? Can I give it to another person by sharing drinks/utensils etc?

I do remember hearing that somewhere about the venison and I wondered that myself...I don't think it is a stupid question. As far as contagious not really sure.

Lyme can be transferred via sexual intimacy/contact and in vitro as many members here have passed it on to their children and spouses/partners.


As a precaution I wouldn't share utensils, drinks etc.

Buhner had written something about meat, but I believe it was that we couldn't get it from cows, deer etc.

I will try to find where I read it and I would suggest trying to see if there are any scientific research papers published on it.

I think this is very possible, unfortunately. Take an igenex test if you haven't already. I always cook my meat well done because I think it's very possible to acquire spirochetes through meat.
