Feeling so lousy.

Over a week ago I posted that I felt so great after stopping antibiotics but then began feeling lousy 3 or 4 days after.

It’s been about 2 weeks and I still feel soooooo lousy! I mean I am so so tired!! All I want to do is sleep. If I take a nap it takes somebody literally dragging me out of the bed to wake up because I feel so exhausted. I can sleep 12 hours and need a nap around 12 or 1 & nap for 4 or 5 hours until somebody has to wake me up.

On top of that I have felt so depressed.. feeling so hopeless.

I was taking minocycline, tindazole, for 3 months & I had taken rifampin for about 7. It was the first time I quit all antibiotics and like I said it he first 3 daysbafter getting off I felt so amazing! I was ready to carry on and make up for the time I lost.

What do you guys think? I am not taking medicine for babesia

I'm so sorry that you are feeling so awful. 7 months is a long time to treat for any other disease but not chronic Lyme. Did you hope you were finished treating?

If that's the case I can certainly understand thinking that. I figured a year or so of treatment and I would be back to my old self. That was over 4 years ago. It can be frustrating and at times depressing but then I see more progress and keep on going.

These are very complicated diseases and take a long time to treat. Babesia symptoms didn't seem an issue until this last year and treating Babs has made a world of a difference.

I meant I was treating babesia now.

I kinda didn’t expect to be better that quick but I just felt so good for those 3 days and it’s soooo deflating for it to be gone.

It I treated for that long & only got 3 good days out of it then that’s just crazy.

I continually doubt my diagnosis but would you say with my reaction to getting of the meds that it’s clear that I do have Lyme? I don’t really herx at all

So you meant to say you're now treating babesia (instead of 'not treating babesia)?

Maybe you're reacting to the babesia meds now. ....or you stopped the bartonella/lyme meds too soon.

If you continue to decline you might want to get back on the bart (rifampin) and minocycline abx.

Yes I meant to say I am now treating babesia. & I began feeling like this before I started taking the meds. I haven’t noticed anything since taking the meds for babesia.

I think you’re right I believe I stopped them too soon.

I’m honestly thinking I should get a new doctor.

This doctor never talked to me about detoxing or anything when it came to treating this. I basically learned everything on my own she just gave me the prescriptions.

& now she has me on a protocol from a man on Facebook who claimed he cured his Lyme disease in a couple of months & I can’t find anything on this mans protocol.

What are the best doctors for Lyme? I know Lyme literateis the main thing to look for but what else?

Many LLMD's don't talk much about detoxing....but you can get ideas from here.
