DNAConnexions NEGATIVE after a POSITIVE

Hi everyone,

So, I'm a little freaked out tonight after receiving my DNAConnexions results.

April 10, 2018 - Completed 45 minutes of exercise for my DNAConnexions test. Before working out, I voided, then collected urine one hour later. I followed the directions to a T.
April 11, 2018 - Mailed Urine to DNAConnexions
April 19, 2018, a C6 Peptide test confirmed Borrelia Burgdorferi - 1.87 (<.90 is negative)
May 23, 2018 - NPLLMD confirmed Bartonella based on the results of DNAConnexions

Many Lyme symptoms reduced with early treatment, but the Bart symptoms don't seem to be diminishing as quickly.

July and August, 2018 - My TSH had been skyrocketing over these months. LLMD had been monitoring and not sure why this is happening.
August 22, 2018 - C6Peptide and Thyroid blood draw
August 30, 2018 - C6Peptide showed that my levels have decreased from 1.87 to 1.1, but I still have Lyme. It was also decided that the Rifampin I was taking was causing the increase in TSH. Rifampin was stopped. So, I'm having some immune systems issues with my thyroid out of whack.
August 30, 2018 - Deep tissue massage for DNAConnexions - DNAConnextions' directions have changed from my April 2018 directions. Voided before massage, voided after massage, took urine sample 1 hour after massage, refrigerated up to two weeks until mailed.
September 4, 2018- Mailed DNAConnexions (5 days after collecting - Holiday weekend)
September 11, 2018 - Received NEGATIVE results from DNAConnexions - However, I still have Bartonella symptoms.


I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas. I think I still have Bartonella, and I believe the DANConnections ($585 with massage) is inaccurate. I don't think the massage did what it was supposed to do. I still have many Bartonella symptoms.

With the thyroid issues I've been experiencing, which is connected to the immune system, do you think that could have caused a problem with my results?

I'm confused and concerned.

I wouldn't solely rely on that test. NO testing is infallible.


This is why LLMD's are clinically diagnosing their patients and/or treating for all three B's regardless.

What does your LLMD say about this recent result?

BTW did the first DNAConnexions test show both borrelia and bartonella? or just bart?

I don't think the thyroid issues would affect results...but they could be responsible for some symptoms.

The first DNAConnexions only showed Bartonella. Borrelia showed up in the C6Peptide. NPLLMD was surprised that the Borrelia didn't show up on the DNAConnexions.

I sent my doc a message this evening. My next appointment isn't until October 8th, but I'd like to know what she's thinking before then.

After dong some research regarding Deep Tissue Massage, I think I understand why I got a negative result this time. When I went in for my deep Tissue Massage, I was expecting a lot of pressure and possibly some pain. During the massage, I felt a lot of rubbing and very little pressure. I remember a thumb pushing into my left calf, but when she got to my right calf, she was back to more rubbing...spreading oil around. That was all the pressure I felt. When I left, I was wondering what the difference between a Deep Tiiuse and a Regular relaxing massage would be. I was quite relaxed and ready for a nap. When I exercised for my first, positive test, my body felt like it had been through a workout. I was sweaty, could feel that my muscles had been worked, and I wasn’t tired in the least.

I recently read that after a good Deep Tissue Massage the client could feel some pain and discomfort due to the amount of pressure that was applied to the muscles. I’d love to hear what others experienced during their successful Deep Tiisue Massages for DNAConnexions.

Yes, I have discomfort AFTER aDEEP tissue massage, and YES it resulted in positive DNAconnecxions for borrellia flagella, and ehrliciosis.

I did NOT do any kind of massage. I did walking and house cleaning as my "exercise" for the DNA Connexions test. I was positive for borrelia and ehrlichia. Did not pick up on bart or babs, though I feel sure I have bart and quite possibly babs.

Negative test only means the bacteria wasn't found in your sample, not that you don't have it.

I have an appointment with my doc on Monday (9/17/18) and I have created a list of current symptoms to bring with me. Normally, I just review my symptoms with her. I don't want to forget anything this time.

April 2018 - Diagnosed with Borrelia Burgdorferi and Bartonella

Current Symptoms - Borrelia Burgdorferi almost gone, and recent Negative Bartonella test

Ringing in ears
Muscle twitching
Internal vibrations
Crackly neck
Air hunger
Sensation of chills in random spots
Random coughs
Some ankle swelling
Random and short headache bursts - NOT like an ice pick, but they were months ago
Weird tightening/numbness in neck area when sitting
Hip pain

I'll update after talking with my NPLLMD
