Lyme and chest pain that comes and goes

Ok so I’m kinda freaked out by these new symptoms I’ve had for past 2 months. I keep getting chest pain that comes and goes, along with my normal muscle twitching that I’ve always had with Lyme. I had full cardio work up, cardiologist said looked ok basically had no answer for me. Anyone else have this issue with Lyme? I’ve done 12 weeks of iv antibiotics, was shortly after that chest pain started. rolleyes

Sorry you have the chest pain - it’s worrisome I know. Every now and again I get some pain in

the heart area.

It’s good you had the cardio work up - hopefully those symptoms subside soon and you can stop worrying!

Are you still treating?

I am currently on oral antibiotics again but don’t seem to be helping with chest pain or twitching. I am currently on Bactrim and Ceftin.

Have you only been on those for a short time?

Have you and your LLMD discussed treatment plans - will Babesia be treated and Bartonella (with Rifampin or Rifabutin)?
It can take awhile and several combos sometimes.

Ah your username reminds me of one of my favorite drinks, Tequila Cranberry..

The rib cage pain, I have it too, I think it has more to do with the Co-infections (babs or bart? sry don't remember which one)...

For me it feels like a strained muscle even though I barely do any activities all day.

My theory: the aerobic (oxygen)-phobic bugs collect in the anaerobic tissue on the inner walls of the chest cage cavity and ribs... (just a theory! IANAD!)

Ive been on the oral antibiotics for about 6 weeks now. My LLMD was hoping that they'd help with the chest pain. But it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I don't see him again until Mid October. He's very hard to get into! Its a scary symptom to have, Ill go a few days without it, then BAM its back again, and I can't find anything that is causing it. So frustrating.

Yup I get these kinds of chest pains that comes and goes a lot. I believe it is a symptom of bartonella. Good you did a cardio work up to rule out other things though. It got much better for me once I started treating.

Can you describe your chest pain a little more? Is it more like a dull, throbbing pain? And where is the exact location of the pain? Mine tends to be more bone pain as it's more upper towards the sternum which is common with bart.

Its located right in my sternum, center of my chest, its like a tightening feeling, sometimes I also get a little air hunger feeling with it which can be scary. What did you use to treat it? Im currently on Bactrim and Ceftin and it doesn't seem to be touching it. My cardiologist put me on a calcium channel blocker to try and help with pain, but doesn't do much, and I'm kinda freaked out to be on a heart medicine. Im only 32 years old and a runner(when healthy).

I did cardiology for 12 years. what is your age, family history, smoking history ???

32 years old, no family history of heart issues, never been smoker, only drink occasionally. Chest pain didn’t start until I was have iv therapy with a PICC line. PICC was pulled in early June. Still having chest pain.

I've been experiencing a chest pain for the last six weeks.

My chest pain.

location: always to the left of my sternum in from under the clavical down to the heart. But not all of that area at once. Just about two finger width of a section at a time. Seems to be from the space between the ribs

Comes and goes a few times a day. Sometimes more of less.

It lasts about one second .

It feels kind of burning... ish

Your Chest pain sounds familiar.

Did you have a pic line for your 12 week abx?

During my 4 weeks of iv rochephin I felt something travel deeper into my body, towards my back and kidneys. Felt like a kidney infection. Started to cough and during a coughing session something was coming through system. I coughed and coughed, it felt like my body was passing something through my thymus, not my heart. There was swelling and pain on my breast bone, a lump, a mass formed there and disappeared thankfully after a few days. Very scary.

I bumped up all my protocols. Lyme is known to produce amaloid plaque in the heart, brain, and other body parts.

Yes, the pics line was for my antibiotics. At the time, I was on Zithromax, Rocephin, and Bactrim.

Was it your heart valve or your thymus?

I have had varying pain in both. Felt like a cage has bee surrounding my heart for a few years, until recently.

Have you addressed parasites?
Do you have or spend time with any animals? Have they been regularly dewormed?
Spent time out of the county? Street food? Pork? Fish?
Ate sushi?

There are only a few things known to dissolve arterial plaque. There are plenty of studies showing some plaque (dental, amyloid, brain, heart etc) has evidence of spirochetes.there are only a few substances know to dissolve plaque. Part of me feel like to plaque is spent biofilm, proteins, and amonia waste.

Vitamins b1 & c, citrus juice, acv, chia seed, serrapeptase and other enzymes and regular walks is what I have been using to keep the body systems moving.

I totally dove into my protocols this past year when I had some new serious symptoms come on. Many have subsided or lessened. I did a 6 week Parasite cleanse this past winter; high amounts of Black walnut, clove, wormwood 3x per day for 6 weeks. I’m 5 days into a klinghardt 8 week protocol ( invermectin, pyrantel, abendazole, bactrim takes care of Protozoa and other parasites that clog our system) that I’m feeling really good about and different.

I got this too and today mine was very warming I think was first I experienced that felt like a fever in my chest all ove got hot. Well you know what I mean it felt like chest was hot. But was just like the res of me when I felt it. This chest stuff is scary stuff how do you know when it is heart attack.

It was one of my first symptoms along with palpitations and in the past year trigeminy. Never found anything on the cardio workup except a right bundle branch block. I've started taking large doses of cryptolepis lately (short term) and most of my cardio symptoms have gone away.
