That’s funny, astroman; I’ve been on the most limited of ketogenic diets for the past year and a half. I live off of select meats, green vegetables, and oils. My carb intake is rarely more than 50g/day. I actually ate myself into a corner, going keto without realizing it, as related to MCS and fungal concerns.
If only the “starving it out” approach worked entirely, without the aide of probiotics, antifungals, etc. All of which I’ve tried in various manners.
I’ve actually heard it’s fond of fatty acids, as well? The strain of fungus thought to be responsible for Seb Derm, that is. Would you happen to know anything about
that, guys? Like, I’ve been told it’s bad to use certain oils as moisturizers and other skin or beauty products in general, as they could have things that will feed it. There’s no safe space, it’d seem.
I agree in regard to the immune aspect. Naturally, there’s the years of Lyme and associated, but I’ve also been dealing with a stressful school and work schedule, which I’m gonna need to be changing.
Thanks for all the responses, guys. It’s trash, the things we deal with. People often comment on how intenal TBI can be. I look normal to the world, right? Then, you get things like this. If I can’t have my good health, at least let me look pretty, I say! But, I also realize Seb Derm, Psoriasis, and the like can be more “normal” ailments that can affect many, not just us. Maybe I’d have gotten it anyway?
Anyway... mwah!
edit: Astroman, I haven’t had a bread-like product in about
four years, I’d say. The last piece of fruit I’ve had that wasn’t an avocado, which I also react to now, was an apple in like 2015. As much as I miss something like pizza, burritos, or ice cream, I’d be so happy just to eat brown rice, a sweet potato, or squash on a frequent cycle. Just wanted to vent! On one hand, you could say I haven’t been working hard enough, on the other I’d say it’s been very unresponsive to systemic antifungals, naturals, and the probiotics I’ve tried.
