astroman,
Thanks for sharing that info. I'd love to hear what all you've learned through seeing this immunologist. Hope you get the answers you were looking for. You went because your labs showed low immune function in certain areas in spite of resolution of symptoms and wanted to know why and what to do about
it, correct?
You mentioned: "What he did say is in people where low B cells are a problem, the first sign is they seem to always have some upper respiratory illness/infection going on."
You mentioned frequent colds/viruses. What about
the mycoplasma and/or chlamydia pneumonia that so many of us have? Could those be the cause? What about
influenza or other respiratory viruses that may be chronic, where IGM or unusually high IGG titers are present? These infections are often asymptomatic, and we wouldn't know without the lab testing. They don't always cause acute illness, but rather drain the immune system.
Since starting Buhner's protocols, I have reduced my titers for mycoplasma and chlamydia. I also increased my CD57. I take a good mixture of antimicrobial and immune modulating herbs. Tiny doses and long treatment (over a year now), but it's still been effective enough to change my labs.
