Hello! I have been at this lyme thing for a few years now, and recently discovered that bart is a major issue for me as well. I have been on buhner's herbs for over a year now, and they were quite effective when I started. I have done rounds of parasite herbs. Recently I saw a LLMD and we did the necessary tests to clear me of the nasty co-infections. I came up on the low end of positive for bart and lyme, and negative for everything else. I did a 2 month round of minocycline, but that didn't seem to accomplish much on its own. The mino also didn't hit me very hard in the beginning, so I am assuming the lyme presence isn't very strong in me. I've heard mino was bad for herxing. It seems like bart is the major player. The issue is that the antibiotics necessary to tackle bart are way too harsh for me to handle. I have a genetic disorder in which my adrenal hormones are out of whack and my body doesn't produce enough cortisol on its own. That, plus my adrenals being weak from being ill for so long makes it seem like a bad idea.

I have already started implementing the bartonella herbs from buhner's protocol, but I would like to see an alternative doctor/herbalist to help me through this. If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it. I live in southeat PA near philadelphia.

I also am looking for someone in this area. I am still dealing with bart and have started taking buhner herbs for it, but didn't get very far. I seem to get a reaction that feels like I drank 50 coffees. I can't seem to get anywhere with it. I would love to find someone to help me use herbs to tackle bart.

I am also in philly suburbs. If you hear of anyone, could you shoot me an email? Thanks so much.

Some of the best LLMD's in the country are in the D.C. area, including Dr M who is the guy for bartonella. Would you be willing to travel that far?

That reaction is probably from the sida acuta. I had a similar reaction when I first started it. It only happened the first 3 or 4 days, and I haven't had any reaction like from it since, even when increasing the dose.

I dunno, I may have issues driving myself that far in one sitting. Someone a little closer would be ideal, but I'll take what I can get.

Hey peteza, did you do the full burner protocol and how did it go in terms of progress?

Hey John. Yeah I have been taking the Buhner herbs for 15 months or so. Progress was great at first, but sort of stalled around 3-4 months and I had other digestive and liver/gallbladder issues pop up. I had found that I had a parasite problem and needed to take herbs for that as well to make more progress. Now I am finding that I also need to address bartonella. The whole thing is a bit of a ride.
