these idiots decided to put their DMSO in a #7 plastic container, which DMSO will leach. Basically you will be poisoning yourself with plastic if you use this product.

Anyway, my main question is about using DMSO. I have an area I'd like to use it on, but am very paranoid about absorbing harmful crap through my skin. I would be putting it on before bed. Is it ok to rub in the DMSO and then cover it with cloth so it doesn't rub off on my sheets?

Also re: smell... isn't DMSO supposed to smell like sulfur? A friend of mine has this stuff, which is supposedly 100% pure pharmaceutical grade, but it stinks a little like sulfur / garlic. It appears to be a quality product and is kept in glass instead of plastic.

Yes - it looks like they also sell it in plastic containers - some plastic isn’t as bad as others.
Not sure what plastic they are using.

You can apply it and just wait for it to dry before going to bed - then it shouldn’t get on your sheets - or you can cover it with cloth once it’s dry.

I also find it to be smelly - kind of like garlicy oysters .
We’ve tried several brands over the years.
The source is wood pulp - and from experience working in the pulp and paper industry - I know how smelly it is.

Hi There (Lapis- or anyone using DMSO),
I just started using DMSO _ not really sure how much to take etc.. But have taken it for about 5 days on my feet - someone said it is absorbed that way - (diluted 50%) and then started taking it orally as well 3 days ago - big improvement in my headache and eye pain from optic nerve inflamationsmile I would love some advice though on how much to take orally - I am just experimenting - and have been upping the dose - from about 8 drops to about 20 drops today...in water -
Also - any suggestion for how to apply to dog that has arthritis? Should it be 50% or 70%???

DMSO is fine in a plastic bottle it depends on the bottle so if its in one its probably fine. i have it in a white plastic bottle and glass.

Common application orally is 1 tsp 2x/day. Get the 99.9% pure and stick a tsp in a glass of water and bottoms up!

There's a sufficient amount of research on the web from naturopath doctors (and doctors overseas) that have used DMSO with varying dosages and concentrations for pathogen eradication.

This stuff truly is amazing I did some posts on it here a few years ago.

The FDA won't approve it for anything but one condition probably because it's literally dirt cheap to make so there's no money in it for big pharm.

max daily orally is 30 ml according to a Doc that uses it

for the dog, apply topically on the areas that are affected, dilluted about 50 - 70%

My DMSO is in a #2 plastic bottle with tree logo from a retail store, 99.9% with no smell.

I never ingested it, but did use it a lot topically and recently on a sprained ankle/foot. Alone topically it dint do much over sore body areas. Applied over Epsom salt gel and Arnica Montana gel made the benefits noticeable, of which I wrote a post about. Those two alone dont go very deep. DMSO drives it in.

Thank you for such great information. I have been wanting to use DMSO for years, just never got up the courage to do so. Just ordered some and a couple of books on it. It is all encouraging to read.

My husband uses it and he has a distinct odor after.
Maybe it’s because of the source- the wood pulp - I know the pulp mills are stinky too.

Quality. The animal , vet DMSO smells more powerful.

The human marketed DMSO I can hardly notice, if not at all. Mine has the tree on it.

Maybe others can notice it. When my husband uses it - he doesn’t smell anything - but I sure do.

I drink dmso (straight no chaser). No oj, no water down. Just straight. Once I did 3.oz. Bad idea. I stunk for DAYS. Oyster breath. Bad. A medicine dropper full is probably good. I have a theory (working theory) that the dmso will penetrate biofilm. But it isn't magic. And it takes more than a day. Given life cycles of spirochites, and other people's treatment protocol (Dr wine says 12 weeks of cold laser to destroy the biofilm) I am going to apply DMSO topically for 3 months. IN Addition to the 3 Abx I take 2x a day for the last 5 yrs. Some MD will argue the Abx keeps the lyme in hiding, but i think given the properties of DMSO, it might penetrate the biofilm and carry Abx with it, or simply kill the bacteria on its own. But 1x doesn't do it. I am going to try for 3 months. I have tried herbs and colodial silver, lots of stuff. Dmso is awesome. But be careful. I get it from a vet in the Midwest. Via the internet, by mail. By the gallon. If this works I will share. Anyone else try, please share!

I'm new to DMSO; mine just arrived yesterday. I put a small amount of 99.9% on a cotton ball and onto my knee and then about 7 hours later onto my hip. For some reason, the pain got WORSE! Is that normal?

I'm really concerned about having everything so clean due to the fact that it goes into the blood... not sure HOW to get it out of the bottle without contaminating it?

I 'think' I need to take it internally since I've had severe pain for over 4 years due to a fall running down concrete stairs and can barely walk now, but VERY nervous about doing that... can someone please explain more? I sincerely appreciate it. FYI: I have ordered a book for almost £30 but it won't be here for two weeks.

How many different sites on one's body can you put 99.9% on at the SAME time?

Hi Lapis. Nancy Nurse asked some great questions, and I dont want to steal her post. But this is odd timing because I had just ordered some DMSO mself for my neuropathy.

DMSO will make you absorb pretty pretty much anything that is on your skin. There is a drug called pirenzipine which WinSanTor is working on a TOPICAL version, and theyre touting it as a potential cure for sensory neuropathy. Wont be ready til 2024. You can buy the oral version, but it hsa side effects. Been tryign to find a compounding company to compounding my pirenzipine into a topical. But barring that, I was thinking about crushing it up and absorbing it using DMSO, since DMSO is typically used as a transport agent. The chemist I spoke to said its not a crazy idea.

Anyway, it leads me to my questions.

1.) I didnt even realize you could ingest DMSO. I read your posts from 2017, but what are your thoughts on it now? Do you still continue to take it? Has it helped?

2.) You mention not to buy the brand w/ the tree on it, but thats what I purchased. BUt i literally dont see another brand on amazon, where did you get yours? The point about leeching is a good one. DMSO will make you absorb whatever is on your skin, so you have to make sure youre clean before using it. Plastics leeching into the DMSO seems like a recipe for disaster.

My husband pours a small amount of dmso into a glass container and uses an artist paint brush to apply it.
Everything he uses is clean. The container and brushes are dedicated to the DMSO.
He slathers it on and repeats it over a few days.
I don’t see why you couldn’t apply it to several areas of the body,

I would leave the cotton balls out of the mix, they don't help and might be hurting. Best way is to put the dmso in a glass dropper bottle and then drop the dmso directly on your body. Either that or pour a bit into a glass plate/container then dip your finger in and apply it that way.

Always clean and sanitize any surface you apply dsmo to, super important.

EVeryone is unique so its possible you react poorly to dmso. Its also possible that in the initial stages of getting things moving again the pain levels will increase, then decrease as time goes on and healing occurs. You will have to decide which you think is happening in your body.

If you swallow it, be sure to do so on an empty stomach. You can take water or gatorade or something with it. Warning: it tastes terrible. I think topically applied directly to the area of concern is still the best way to do it.

Ive been using DMSO topically for a few years now. Never drank it.

By far the easiest way for topical application is to pour some in a shot glass and use a natural horse hair paint brush (no man made materials)- one narrow enough to fit in the little shot glass.

Alone its OK, over arnica montana gel is noticeably better. Over Penetrex natural pain cream is even better. Its healed some past injuries that were ongoing for years.

Ill do upper body areas or lower body independently.

I no longer need a shoe lift and no longer limp - did both for 12 years.
