I don't know anything about pandas,..................... but I had your hand/ motor symptoms which I think was from over active nervous system and the muscle tensing it creates.
While ill from what lyme did, it felt like my nervous system was in overdrive in mind and physical body. It was worse at my worst "toxic state".
I had to herbally calm the adrenals since continuous cortisol release is somewhat toxic to nerves and muscle if your not exerting yourself and using it.
Candida also contributed to loss of motor skills.
I had to keep an eye on my thyroid levels.
Also took RX propranerolo 60mg extended release- its the first BP med but actually does this by calming adrenals, its used for tremors. Now use 20mg for this 50 something body.
Proper diet helped to. Your gut is your nervous system to react from food, technically, its your first brain.
After my shotgun abx of 15 months this continued to improve.
Also physically treating the muscles that influence hand motor skills helped EVERY DAY and I could still work just barely. People at work commented on my writing, it was noticeable to them (I had many smart *** comebacks that I will leave out lol).
Deep massaging the forearms, golf ball muscle rolling on the floor for arm triceps , deltoid muscles helped a lot. This releases trapped tissue toxins in muscle and nerves- those are the muscles than effect hand control.
I could not wait for the healing to just happen. If I had not done all these things I would be 100K in the hole.
To this day I continue to improve motor control by loosening and then strength training muscle involved - without any PT or chiro work, had them in the past, helped, not much though.
Thank you for sharing these. I am trying to understand where it comes from and i think there are many factors. When i try to write ( this happens when i read also) i react very easily and i feel the stress flowing in my body. My head becomes tight and my hands tense. It affect my mind also. I feel my brain stuck and numb, i lose my thoughts and in order to come back i have to do some nervous movements to realise the stress .. and then again the same
