Charlie - Flagyl is a cyst buster - you’re saying it’s also a biofilm buster?
Dr. Sapi has reported both Tindamax and Flagyl to be good biofilm dissolvers, I suspect it may also
open round body forms, but that may be old ideology from the lyme community Girlie, but not quite sure if I remember a study showing that flagyl and tindamax
open up cysts... Maybe it does both!
I always go by what Dr. Sapi reports on. Dr. H(Top LLMDs), and John Hopkins, rather than what's repeated on the lyme forums.
https://www.treatlyme.net/guide/biofilms-lyme-disease-gated-communities"Research by Eva Sapi PhD shows that the antibiotics doxycycline, metronidazole, tinidazole, and amoxicillin can reduce biofilm size by various degrees. The best of these is the drug tinidazole which reduces biofilm by 50 to 55%. While doxycycline reduced biofilm by 40%, metronidazole by 30% and amoxicillin by 30%. Note she did not study the whole list of antibiotics I often use to treat Lyme disease described in A Lyme Disease Antibiotic Guide."

I can’t tell what’s working or not when it comes to biofilms or cysts - I often don’t have typical patterns -
I'm not sure what stage of treatment you're in Girlie, but I suspect you'll start to feel what works as time goes on and you progress. That's what has happened with me and I've seen others report the same, getting spurts of energy here and there, feeling normal on some days, possibly weeks.
Without a doubt your body develops an autoimmunity and gets put in overdrive with chronic illness, so inflammation is so dominant that it's hard to feel what drugs are working and what's not, including herbs. That's what I suspect happens with everyone if their Lyme goes chronic and they don't get quick antibiotic treatment in early stages.
I think that a good herb to use to help heal lyme patient's autoimmunity along with treating biofilms(maybe speed up treatment), and killing borrelia is hemp oil. Both marijuana(THC) and hemp(CBD) help modulate the immune system.
I suspect you not only have to kill the source of the problem with Lyme, but also treat the autoimmunity, which takes time. I know some Doctors use low dose naltrexone, but I suspect CBD oil/Hemp oil may be a good option too.
Studies have shown that both marijuana and CBD oil hemp modulate the immune system. That's why you see some with Parkinsons take Rick Simpson oil and their shakes go away.
https://youtu.be/fr-egkky6d0It's not fun being high all the time, so picking out a good CBD oil is a better idea I think. Some people take CBD during the day time, then THC form at night. I sure hope as time goes on, CBD comes down in price. I really like that Charlottes Web CW Hemp.
I hope with legalization in Canada as well as new states in America, prices come down. Right now Elinxoil is $30 for a tincture, CW Hemp is $40(pretty high in my opinion). I've found Rick Simpson as low as $20 at some dispensaries in my state, but it always fluctuates and dispensaries close down due to the cops always messing with them. Glad to say that won't be happening anymore due to legalization in my home state this Christmas!
