I wouldn’t take any EO internally, aside from a drop of, say, lemon or cinnamon. Most of them are pretty caustic.
Though, to tell you the truth, I have ingested them out of desperation. Granted, my GI system has been in a poor state for years, so you could chalk the following up to impaired absorption, but I’d say the impact the EO was much less pronounced taking the oral route; I’ve had much, much stronger herxes using them topically.
I never got too serious about dosing times or amounts. I did follow something of a protocol for DoTerra’s DDR Prime oil, but, other than that, I’d go with 4-6 drops, adding in something like tea tree oil as an adjunct. 2-3 times daily.
I’ve tried many: Thieves, On Guard, various cinnamon, tea tree, frankincense, and others, both blends and individual, that I have forgotten.
EO are great. Plant medicine is real. If only there were a one-size-fits-all and your typical, chronic Lymie didn’t need a multi-pronged approach.
Definitely support your detox pathways, with whichever treatment modality, and understand that it’s not all about killing. I took that approach for years and now feel I may have done irreversible damage to my microbiome, causing a mess of other problems.
It’s probably not a good approach, but I’ve never had the patience or discipline to follow rigid protocols. Nor the time.
Do some research, get an idea as to what common dosages are. Start low. Increase to a reasonable amount. Do that a couple-few times a day. Try to throw in some detoxing. Eat well.
I’m also someone that’s given up on the thought of being “cured” or ever being a full human being again, however negative that sounds, so take anything and everything I say lightly.
I get by. I laugh, cry, smile, scream, and shout. There’s good things in life, even if something’s always missing in my heart and in my brain.
It’s like the stacked dominoes, tumbling down. Once the process starts, it’s kind of difficult to go back. It’s an investment of time, effort, money, and good fortune, and not everyone can manage all of them, and you really kind of have to, if you want to get better. So, I’m just doing my best, which kind of sucks. Kind of.
Well wishes.
