Girlie; that was a very detailed explaination that I much appreciate. It really gives me a different side of the story than what I read on google.
One thing I was wondering...
We don’t get to see dr Jemsek unless excetional circumstances I suppose, right?
Do you feel the other doctors there are on top of their game?
So far I’ve been visiting a LLMD in plattsburgh, dr MCS.
She’s really nice, and what I like is that I can email her and I get a short reply within 48h.
The biggest downside is that I feel that there’s no real plan for me as we speak, as I’m still dealing with elevated enzymes that prevent me from pursuing abx. I just wish I had clues on how to get things on the right track.
I don't think Dr. J does initial consults - if he does it's not very often.
But, you can ask to switch later....that's what I did. I didn't have exceptional circumstances though.
The others' aren't Dr.'s, they're NP's that he has trained. He is available for them to consult if they need help.
I've read/heard that some patients don't even want to switch to Dr. J. They like their NP that much.
There's one with initials KF and another one AW that I've heard are very good.
I've heard that Dr. in Plattsburgh is good. Many Canadians do go to her.
With the J clinic...you would be leaving a voice mail for them - rather than an email. But you should hear back within 48 hours.
I know some prior patients who complained when they didn't get a same day response...which I think is kind of lofty anyway.
I honestly don't know what Dr. J would do with elevated liver enzymes. I had those prior to seeing him...and my llnd at the time had me stop for them to come down...which they did in 2 1/2 months. I resumed abx and started treating bartonella...and they never rose again...strange really.
