Hi all,
I’m just wondering of those of you who have had any of your root canals removed/extracted if you noticed any positive changes in any variety of symptoms? Was it right away or after the area had healed?

I’m getting 7 extractions on Monday by a very reputable biological dentist who has many Lyme and autoimmune patients so I feel I am good hands.

Just wanted to hear about others’ experiences with this. I’m hoping to feel ‘something’ but just am curious as to what others felt. Most if my symptoms are cognitive issues.

Yep, I felt lasting improvement in muscle spasms and fatigue on the same day as the extraction. Good luck!

Wow - that’s great Sara!

I haven’t had a root canal... but did get my first crown a couple months ago - hoping the root wasn’t disturbed...as I don’t know what would be the best option if the root gets infected.

I had 6 crowns done on my top 6 front teeth last Feb 2018and I got sick in April 2018. As a result of the crowning process they told me i may need root canals given how much tooth was shaved down. And yup within 1 day I was in pain and the dentist advised that I get 6 root canals on those crowned teeth!! Worst advice ever. So... now here I am with throbbing gum and pun like puck pains in my gums where the root canals are. When I take my herbs it’s like I get these sensations right after, and this just started about a month ago so 2 months into treatment. It feels like a sting to my gums and a throb where the canals are so I definitely cannot ignore that connection. My biological dentist believes that my immune system is trying to get at those infections every time I use the antimicrobials. I’m very glad (and scared) to be getting all my teeth out but I know it’s the right thing to do. I have a 20 year old root canal on a molar that is also coming out and it’s been sore since I started treatment too... so crazy.

All 6 needed root canals? That sounds a little “fishy” to me - that all the 6 roots got infected.

Yikes! I hope I don’t have to make that decision anytime soon!

So are you getting false teeth?

They weren’t all infected it was I was having pain bc of the nerves exposed from filing down the tooth and the dentist recommended I do them all prior to getting the porcelain crowns on so to avoid having more root canals down the road. I had no idea at the time and I thought it was the right thing - craziness.

Yes, I’m getting a partial denture. I didn’t want implants. I just want these outta my body ASAP!!

It’s weird too bc the days I was having the root canals done I was feeling really weird cognitive issues and anxiety etc., but I just pinned it all on the stress of having the canals done, but looking back it was definitely Bart/Babs rearing it’s ugly head and then 2 months later I got hit with everything. I’m hoping there is some sort of positive change from this... 7 extractions is a lot! My biological dentist sees some pretty miraculous things from people who finally remove their root canals or cavitations- so.... fingers crossed!

There is a movie called "Root Cause" YouTube-Amazon-you may want to watch it.
A root canal kills the nerve so you never feel the infections. years later you wont feel the infection.
Google the words image-electron microscope-tooth. You will see how porous a tooth is.
A root canal-kills the nerve and blood supply-so no immune system or antibiotics can get in.
This creates a foci infection that lowers your immune system and causes major health issues.-
This creates a dead porous-sponge like tooth ( with no immune system) in your jaw.
The movie is called "Root Cause" because root canals are often the root cause of chronic health conditions like lyme

I'm currently going through this process myself.

I just got a dead tooth pulled. It is been dead for 13 years. This is so interesting... 13 years ago (same time the tooth died) I developed upset stomach, nausea, and vomiting. That lasted for years before it finally went away. The doctors could not find a cause for it, so I just tried to live with it. It turns out the dead tooth is on the same meridian as the stomach!! What are the chances of that?

I also just had my upper and lower right side wisdom teeth cavitations cleaned out. I developed a fever afterwards and massive amounts of swelling. Proof that my jaw bone was loaded with infection.

I can't say I feel any different yet. It has only been 5 days since the cavitation surgery and about 3.5 weeks since the dead tooth removal. I feel good, but maybe that is because I am on pain killers ;)

Good luck. I think this is something everyone should explore that has lyme. I was convinced I needed to deal with it after watching the movie Root Cause.

I’m trying to find a place to watch that film, cannot find the full documentary on YouTube, is it somewhere else I can watch it? I think it got removed from Netflix.

How did you know you had cavitation infections in the wisdom teeth sites? Also how do you know if a tooth is dead?

Walking - You have to get either a panoramic x-ray or a cavitat scan (another type of x ray). And usually have a holistic dentist interpret it. They will be able to point them out to you.

I have a biological dentist. He doesn’t have a cavitat machine and had never heard of one. He does have a lady who travels around with a cone beam scanner. Is that the same as a panoramic xray or not? I had full mouth series xrays, but I don’t know if that’s what you are referring to or not. I’m thinking not.

My dentist doesn’t do cavitation surgery in his SC office, as he’s not set up for it here. I think he does do it in his NY office, or at least the other dentist in his NY office does it. He’s the only biological dentist close to me.

I had all my wisdom teeth removed decades ago and had 4 other teeth removed prior to braces as a child. However, the only teeth that have had any weird symptoms are my upper front teeth.

A 3D cone beam scan can be used to diagnose cavitations, yes.

I know of two dentists who do the 3D cone beam scan and a great holistic dentist if anyone ever is near Boston, MA, USA.

Yes a cone beam works. That is what I got I think. I had no symptoms in any of my teeth or lack there of. Not even the dead tooth. You usually won't have symptoms as the nerves have already died. It would be worth it to investigate if you have cavitations Walking.

But there are other nerves in the surrounding tissue right? (Besides the nerve in the root? So wouldnt you feel pain from the infection?

The nerves in the tooth are dead so zero tooth pain.
At some point when the infection has eaten through the tooth and through enough bone it will hit a nerve. By then the toxins that these bacteria kick off should have you in some serious trouble

Girlie - I felt no pain, but the bone in my jaw was basically rotten and hollow. It was disgusting.

BTW - The JSC urged me to get this taken care of after I figured out I had cavitations in my initial evaluation.

Good to know the JSC is supportive beyond what they test for...etc.

I couldn't believe how much dental health contributed to overall health. You are doing a very good thing emms. I had my root canal pulled over a year ago and had 2 other problem teeth pulled since. The last one was a month ago. I started getting a tooth ache and then my upper right jaw started hurting. Low and behold, I still had a baby tooth up there that was loosening up and causing an infection. I went downhill quickly. Got the tooth pulled. And within a week I was feeling better.

Good luck. I hope you notice a quick improvement.

Curious . . . did you see a biological dentist for that? What kind of imaging was done?
